  1. really? are you sure about that? i even contacted st croix rods and they told me themselves that the (IM9) means how the rod is built and the higher the number the lighter and stronger the blank of the rod is.
  2. get the bps extreme rod for 100 buck you get im9, most rods today dont even have that. its top notch quality 7'6 med hvy perfect for what you need
  3. first off i have to say this is a 100% fluorocarbon lake, its extremely clear, the big fish should be on some sort of cover or in deeper water. Is this in Florida?
  4. I dont think its necessary to add more unless you have a boat and that requires more technique because you can target and got to spots that you cant target on foot.
  5. if you live in florida, like i do, make sure you get a long rod with broomstick action, very heavy extra fast rod. i use a flippin stick for everything and all my baits, we have alot of 10+ pounders down here
  6. the thing is that with products like that you dont get guarantee or warranties so just think about that i rather buy something that has lifetime warranty then some unknown that dont have warranty, and even if its new and has warranty, you dont know how bad or how good is it. a well known brand you will know how good is it. its called reputation
  7. thats a local company from where i live they make one of the best if not, the best inshore tackle today, iv meet the owner and the company and the owner lives about 5 miles from me. its extremely popular here, i only buy d.o.a lures for all my inshore fishing
  8. the PQ are good but the carbonlite are also good. I believe that almost every reel that comes out from bps is good. they make good reels, their is some exceptions that some are bad but for the most case the majority are good.
  9. i live in florida, and theres gators everywhere, iv even seen them in brackish water, so its not a good idea to dive for it
  10. have a nice day and thank you for sharing you opinion.
  11. your 100% correct. people these days lol
  12. yes i have used this reel and and it feels like exactly as they say. it really deserves that 2013 award.
  13. i dont like falcon rods , i had bad experience with them but the idea falcon rod for would be the LSS76M that is the perfect fit for you
  14. we use 4000 reels for 60 pound tarpon and 50 pound snook. a 2500 or even a 3000 will do
  15. if the line was moving side to side its obvious that the bass had your lure on its mouth, you just needed to set the hook
  16. Daiwa aird 4000 or penn battle 3000 these are top of the line reels and better than some of 200+ dollars reels
  17. when are you guys doing event in florida?
  18. the carbonlite has the 2013 game and fish sportsman award. they don't get awards for nothing. just sayin
  19. then start off with a cheap braid like the bps one its cheap but has quality because the last thing you want is that you end up not liking it and you spend all that money for nothing, not everyone has the same taste
  20. since i see that you live in Illinois the carbonlite is perfect for you, but i also see that you lived in cali so if you still lived in cali i would say go with the signature. where you live your going to catch bass up to 10 pounds, in cali those people catch 20 pounders like noting. location on your set-up does matter
  21. you are like me, i have one combo for everything, and really thats all you need, you dont need 10 combos unless your a pro or go to tournaments. since i live in florida my combo has to be very heavy, 50 to 80 pound braid and extra heavy extra fast rod and a fast speed reel
  22. 100% agree the natural colors are the best since its natural youll get more bites
