  1. Nah, Was at The Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve.
  2. I also bought a few at BPS, but looks like got them for a dollar cheaper than I did.
  3. Thanks guys, now if the weather ever clears I can try it.
  4. I'm gonna try it out this weekend. This will be the first time I'll be trying a swimbait like this. Where would you use a bait like this? Maybe @Bluebasser86, or @Master Bait'r can chime in also. Seen them having luck with these types of swimbaits.
  5. Had a quicky at DSG. Bought some plastics and tackle to restock. Looks like they are heavy into Savage Gear now... So I had to by a 1oz Dark Gill Blue Gill... Just because @Bluebasser86 has one... Field & Stream has Zerust in their tackle storage now, than I noticed they're made by Flambau... bought a double pack.
  6. Looks great. To bad I can't do that, my boat would be parked in my neighbor's yard. I am thinking about building an extended car port attached to the front of my garage though. A place to put the boat and a place to work under if the weather is bad..
  7. What ever works, is what I say.
  8. My boat doesn't fit in the garage which I thought it would. I parked it in the driveway, and got a good cover for it. I'll eventually build a carport or get one of those temporary garages.
  9. Is that a motorcycle windscreen?
  10. Tell the wife she's wrong... It's never to big or more than you need...
  11. Ive caught a few chunks, but nothing like this. I didn't know how fat it was until I got all the salad pulled off of it. Should of taken a belly shot.
  12. Don't get the dolly from Harbor Freight. I have it, and it is at it's max capacity pushing my 17.5 ft Stratos on a single axle trailer around. I would spend the money and get 2 of those wheel dollies.
  13. @Oregon Native You ain"t kidding. @A-Jay Thanks, My son definitely enjoyed it. He liked the 30mph break neck speed we were going too.
  14. A NJ evening Fatty.
  15. Made a pilgrimage to the closest BPS, which is an hour and a half away in Bridgeport Conn. See if I could get more of a selection of bait and tackle than at my local DSG... This BPS leaves a lot to be desired in the Freshwater bait and tackle department for what I was looking for (It's probably more friendlier to the salt water fishermen because of its location). They don't even carry Rage Chunks. So I made do with what they did have. I did get the Storm Arashi crank baits at half price. The Glacier Gloves were needed, and the Plano plastic bait box is great. I wouldn't of been able to buy those at DSG. Also bought a couple of pfds for my wife and kid for the boat
  16. What kind of creature is that?
  17. Took the family out for their first time on the boat, and the wife gave it a Proper sliming... Only catch of the day. My son fishing, and me pulling out a professional overrun
  18. Caught him during that "Walking back to the car with nothing to show for, and Ooh this looks like a bassy spot, let me cast this Zoom Horney Toad I already have tied on a couple of times, and swim it right beneath the surface thru all that duck weed" moment. Sucker came out of the water like a Great White breaching after a seal. Wasn't really heavy at 2 3/4lbs I usually don't fish this area of the nature preserve (which is actually behind me) cause it's not open to the public like the main lake. It's a marshy swampy area which does feed the main lake but its also home owners' property. I'm on a public bridge so no harm no foul. There, fixed it.
  19. I like to see how you connected your TM to your remote steering.
  20. Or get surge brakes installed on your trailer. I have one of those dollies i bought from Harbor Freight, 50 bucks. It's at it's limit pushing my Stratos 176XT around though. Just going over a blade of grass stops the momentum.
  21. Took the boat out a second time to a new to me lake (Greenwood Lake NJ/NY.. yes it's split in half by these 2) The most bassy looking lake. Holds smallmouth, largemouth, Muskies, Pike, lake trout, and walleye... mangaged to catch a measely hand size whiper or white perch. Wasn't even worth taking a picture of. Got soaked in a rain storm when it wasn't supposed to rain... didn't bring my rain gear. This was more of a getting to know my boat, and backing up the trailer practice trip more than anything so it was a good day.
  22. That sucks, do you lock your compartments?
  23. Did A-Jay lend you that fish?
  24. Man, I'm getting jealous. Haven't been able to go out. Either the weather sucks, I get sick, or I go to work.
