I'll just order from TW and anything over $50 is only $5 for 2 day shipping that still would be less than the Prime service fee for how often I order fishing gear. With Prime you do get weekend service which you don't with TW's 2 day shipping.

I am the only one in my family when we immigrated from Holland to Miami in 1980 that liked fishing (my brother and sister not so much, my mom doesnt care and my dad thinks it's cruel) and since we lived down the street from the bay me and my buds would go any chance we had. Anywho my son who is 7 loves it. I started him at around 3 years old. I think him liking animals and the such is what helps as well. Now hes graduating to casting gear (Rats nest here we come). it's been tough though I can get a little selfish then frustrated and a little loud cause I think he cuts into my fishing time when I have to retie, untangle, and untree his line more than what i like, but then I realize he's only 7. Glad he puts up with me. So now I'm going to teach him how to tie his own tackle and were gonna make some jigs for his jig setup.

I like em, and my 7 year old likes em. We don't have one nearby, but when we go on trips we always stop at the local BPS. Each one is different depending on their location (Dania Beach FL, Orlando FL, Bridgeport CT, Harrisburgh PA, Hanover MD). We usually just buy a couple of bags of plastics or a hat. We did spend over 200 bucks at the Harrisburg PA location for my son We went and outfitted him with his own baitcasting gear, and his own terminal gear and baits (so he doesn't use up all mine) ... He's a BPS fanatic loves it more than Disney World.

As I'm a recent new boat owner up here in the North East, I wanted to keep on fishing until the lakes would start getting iced. I chickened out and winterized my boat as soon as the temps hit 30. For you guys that fish till the ice shows up aren't you concerned the water that still remains in the motor after you pull her out would freeze over night and do some type of damage? Is there any trick or is it something not to worry about? Cause I would love to keep on fishing till then... well starting next year.

I'll stick to my recently bought 10 year old Stratos thank you very much. And I'll buy used as well if I ever replace this one.

Going on 2 and half years with my Lews reels, and no issues.

I keep it basic: 1/4oz or 1/2oz Arky in BK/BL and one in some kind of GP and brown. Same with Football Jigs. Matched with a GP trailer. Siebert is the place to start.
