Yeah, his jigs are top notch. I was using one of his Bluegill Cosmic Spinner Baits the other day, and got it snagged...let me tell you, I was getting overly butt hurt about losing that bait. Luckily it came loose, and I got it back... Butt Hurt cured.

When I get my boat, I'll ride out 80yds then cast 20yds...

Just got this in from Siebert's, 9 packs of the Rage Tail Menace, and 4 packs of some Rage Chunks... Now I need to order some hair jigs because I want to try my hand at some Bronze backs... It never ends. By the way where would be a good place to order some hair jigs?

Not my lure, but yesterday went out with a friend and caught his crankbait he lost 2 weeks ago... Only thing I caught.

Same here, went out yesterday caught nothing but did see a few newts swiming around. Didn't know these guys swim around in this frigid water. Thought they would be hibernating or something.

If it looks like it's alive, and it can fit in thier mouth, they will eat it. I've used jig and craws in lakes where I haven't seen any Crawfish, and still got bit.

Great info. The river I'm gonna be trying is not that huge I can pretty much cast across it in some areas, but there are smallies there. I figured where the river widens out would by a good area to try, and would that also be where it would pool. How about hitting the areas where it flows into the lake, and the are where it turns into a river again.

Thanks for the input, I'm really getting the itch. Gonna have to take my spinning gear out of winter hibernation.

How would you fish the hair jigs, like a regular jig?

Another thing, are smallies more aggressive then Lmb when the water is cold. Like 35* cold.

We still have soft water here in Northern Jersey, and I was thinking about trying my hand at Bronze Back fishing in one of our river systems. 1. Where do they usually hang when the water temps drop? 2. What type of lures to use in the cold temps?

Did you get out mounted?

I do, I go to more than one body of water during a fishing outing. Ill use different techniques for different spots . Sometimes Ill just grab a couple of things, and leave the bag in my vehicle. I will be downsizing by the time spring gets here. I'm still figuring out what works best when and where, and getting rid of stuff I don't even use like that giant swim bait for example. Probaply get rid of some of those shad colored baits also because there aren't any shad where I fish. So this will be temporary.
