Very Scary Fishing Experience
Yeah, you do have to watch where you step when you are in those woodsy type areas. Happened to me last week at a new spot. Was walking around the lake in the wooded area, and got the bageezus scared out of me when I almost stepped on one of them. Thought it was a ratteler, but ended up being a non venomous snake....still gave it a wide berth though. Then yesterday at the same place fishing a Booyah Pad Crasher. I see something getting in the water from the corner of my eye, and thought nothing of it next thing you know I'm reeling in the frog and there is a snake hanging from the head end of the lure. Should of taken a picture.

Lakes First Boat Ride!
Always nice to get the fam out. To make the life jacket fit, two words "DUCT TAPE". Wait till he's old enough and starts nagging to go fishing, and when you tell him that you guys can't because of bad weather and he starts crying you know he's hardcore.

First Bass From The Bank
Nice, Congrats on your first bank bass. I think that small fish is some type of sunny: pumpkin seed or bream. I've had rock bass and perch hit crank baits, and it seems like pumkinseeds or bream do also.

When And What?
FALL- bass are gonna fatten up getting ready for winter: spinner baits, crank baits SUMMER- pretty much anything, but top waters are great at this time, if there's cover or grass hit those areas. Also night fishing is good at this time. SPRING- Bedding bass, and cruisers along the shallows: allot of folks like using jigs, creature baits still work also suspending Jerk baits. WINTER- in the South keep on fishing. In the North, soft water slow roll your Spinners, slow fish your jigs. Hard water stay home and enjoy an alcoholic beverage. These are just a few examples, there will be more people adding their input.

Setup For Big Worms
You are asking me? I was using 4/0 ewg off set worm hook, but comparing a ZOOM 10" Ol' Monster to an 12" Mann's Big Jelly Worm is like comparing a worm to a snake.

Sunglasses Lens Color?

Night Fishing In South Florida
I was gonna say the same thing everybody else did. Respect the night down there, if it's fresh water guarantee you there will be a gator in it or near it at some point. Hell, people get gators in there swimming pool. The big freaking spiders that come out at night....gives me the heeby jeebies, and the creeps just thinking about it... and how do I know this living in Jersey? Lived down there for 24 years till 2004.

Sunglasses Lens Color?
I seem to like the brown lens, for me it's works good in all light conditions. I have the Reflekt polarised shades, and they have a great warranty service.

Setup For Big Worms
I used a ZOOM 10" Ol' Monster weightless on a 6.6 MF, and it felt fine. I think adding 2" and a 1/4 OZ weight will be ok, but then again I don't know how much the 12" Jelly Worms weigh.

They are almost in every sustainable body of fresh water. I do cringe whenever I see those fish on the ground. I know some of us do it to take pictures for size comparison, and thats fine. These guys ar just doing it way to much for no reason.

Cool Front!?
Had A cool front come thru up here in Jersey Friday night. Went fishing in the morning (Had this planned the whole week) to a new to me lake, but the temps were in the high 50s to low 60's, and cloudy, so I was like this is gonna be interestng. Get to the lake and see pads around the perimeter (awesome froggy time so I thought), and milfoil about 2 feet below the surface. Visibility about 1' and a half to 2' half. So as you guessed started with the hollow frog thru the pads, aaaaaand nothing for about an hour going around this place and hitting the pad field . Then I decided to go with a couple of cranks and whack the tops of the submerged millfoil with a Bluegill KVD 1.5, and a Perch of the same brand and size, aaaaand nothing . Continued on to a couple of Spinner baits of different colors and blades, aaaaaand nothing . After all this I was pretty much convinced that lock jaw had set in because of the cool front that passed thru. So me like every other bass angler said let me try one more thing before I head home . So then I decided to go with something I haven't used before, in a color I never used before... A ZOOM 10" Ol' Monster in Plum with the tail end dipped in Chartruese JJ's Magic, weightless Texas rig on a 3/0 wide gap red worm hook. First cast let her sink shake, shake crank and repeat. Then there was a tap, tap, hook set, and this: A nice 2lber The Ol' Monster had a tore up head so I just snipped it back an 1/2", and continued casting it. Had another strike, set the hook and it let go, and came back with a 5" plum colored senko because the tail got tore off from that bite. Put on a new one with the same JJ dip on the tail, but ended only getting a few sunny bites. So ended up leaving after that. On my way home not to far from the spot I left I found another lake hidden behind some baseball fields and woods I had caught a glimpse of it thru the tree openings as I was driving by. So I turned around, and ended trying there. Took out the the ZOOM Ol' Monster rod, made a couple of casts aaand caught this little guy: Not a fatty, but I'll take it on a slow day like yesterday. I tell you what, I'm startin to dig the Zoom Ol' Monster. Gonna have to stock up 'cause I only have one bag.

The Best Way To Carry Tackle For Bank Fisherman In My Opinion
What I have done and works pretty decent, I'll put th water bottle in one of the side pockets and zip it closed a little so the bottle stays put.

Summer Bank Fishing
During a storm I usually fish a frog thru the pads because that's where the fish are under when they don't want to get wet.... ....its probably better when it gets cloudy on a hot mid summer day. It cools things down, and the bass will either come shallower from the depths or q wander out more from cover.
