  1. Yeah I know what you mean, I've been looking at rods and depending the band some of the MH can handle a heavier lure than some of the Heavy rods.
  2. DAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMN!
  3. I usually have it as close as possible to the camera with an 11oz lead in it's gullet. So it's 30" long and 20#.
  4. Thanks for the help guys
  5. You also answered another question I had, a pole for froging. So I can use this pole for triple duty? so a 7' MH to H for around 1/2 oz to 2oz size lures (hard swim baits)? I don't think I will be going any bigger. How about action? Also should I get a reel with a slow speed rate like a 5 to 1? Round or a low profile reel? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks
  6. Alright it's an 5" 1oz Reaction Strike Revolution Shad
  7. Oh ok, I received a 5" hard swim bait from my monthly tackle subscription it didn't have the weight marked on the package just the Size. I might just have to go and weigh it. I threw the packaging away so I forget what the company was. Actually better yet I'm gonna go to the tackle website and see what this month's take was.
  8. What size rod is good for 5" plus swim baits?
  9. The pros: I caught my first bass ever, and now I'm addicted. I Can't shake the bait monkey. The cons: I wish I started earlier in the year, I would of caught way more fish. Can't wait for spring and try some new techniques the C rig and the T rig
  10. Those are nice, didn't see a price how much do they go for?
  11. I think side arm casting is so much easier, and I'm getting pretty good at it. Its probably because of how I throw naturally which is side arm. I can actually cast from both sides left and right which comes in handy. Like everybody said try side arm first, and then over hand. I'm still trying to get the hang of over hand. Line wise I started with PP braid which somebody else stated is allot easier to un backlash.
  12. Rod wise. would this setup also be good for swim baits 5" and up maybe with a slower reel? I want to start frogn' as well Just wondering if I would be able to use it for both.
  13. +3 in the Mann -1. When I was using this lure (Fire Tiger color) It was getting smashed just floating on the surface with no action.
  14. How Long is this special up for?
  15. My 3 year old son decided to drop his Spiderman kiddie pole while I was tying on a hook for him... Ouch right in the side of my finger. The good thing was it was only a small #6 hook.
  16. No kidding, I was getting the cold sweats and the shakes.

  19. T rig some craw plastics, and do some flippin' and pithchin'
  20. Tried some of these today. Did not catch anything cause the weather, but got to practice some jig fishing. Put them on a football jig head(all I had) They do float nicely, a** up. If I was a 10# bass I would hit it.
  21. Its different up North. I think "my" lake is turning. The water has a grey tint to it, and in some parts its milky looking.
  22. Seems there is a trend here, green pumpkin and watermelon.... hmmmm
  23. ^ This, DUH! I had this Moment yesterday when one of my plastics resealable bags was leaking. I just chucked it in a zip lock bag.
