  1. A fish hit your bait on top of the water while splashing the weeds free?
  2. A guy I fish with constantly splashes his bait on the water when he gets weeds stuck on it. He will splash until all the weeds are off, It annoys the crap out of me but I was wondering if it scares the fish near the bank?
  3. That's how I feel in the winter when fishing gets tough. Anything I can get to bite my line is a win, even if it's only 8"
  4. Nice fish. I hope when I have a daughter she will want to fish with me. I already know my son will, he will have no choice.
  5. Wow nice huge fish. But the quality of the pics aren't as nice. Looks like you took a picture of a picture from a computer screen. I think you can post the pictures from your image shack account by copying and pasting the link.
  6. Nice fish. Its always fun catching fish let alone a personal best. Im pretty sure Bps has a digital scale for around $11-$12 not sure how well it works.
  7. If it was 21 degrees shouldn't that rain turn into snow? I'm not to familiar with snow but I thought around 28-29degrees it starts snowing
  8. I would! I go fishing any chance I get. Basically I'm always looking for my next opportunity to go fishing.
  9. That splash when walking or popping a topwaterbait.
  10. Drop shot with a zoom trick worm
  11. McAlpine guessed it right to the ounce. This is what he won.
  12. Nice fish! One time I was holding a fish like you guys did for a picture and someone told me it can dislocate the fishes jaw. Im not sure if it's true or not but just incase I stopped holding the fish like that. Is this true?
  13. I caught it on a zoom trick worm using 8lb test in the California delta in discovery bay. I know what the weight is but whoever guesses closest to the weight by the end of the day on Wednesday. I'll give them a new in box persuader popper. If this thread bothers anybody let me know and I'll delete it, just want to have a little fun. McAlpine Got it right on the dot.
  14. I saw this video on another forum and the guys on there were bashing him for flipping that monster on to the dock.
  15. Sometimes it's hard to tell without a scale, I've caught 2 1/2 pounders that look close to 4. Great catch! No matter what it weighs its still a big fish.
  16. No my local store only had 161 and they sold out in 15 minutes. There were about 60 people left in line who didn't get one.
  17. I got there at 8:40am and there were already 60 people in line. They had 161 reels total only 31 left handed. Pretty much everybody bought 2 each some guys brought there kid so they could buy 4. I was lucky enough to get the last left handed reel.
  18. On my way right now. I hope they have plenty of left handed reels.
  19. I just started to drop shot a few weeks ago and it's the only way I want to fish now. I've tried quite a few different baits but the most effective for me is a zoom trick worm in Greek pumpkin.
  20. I catch plenty of bass in that range that feel like they are over 3lbs but when I weigh them they end up being around 2.4 to 2.11lbs.
  21. I just started fishing the drop shot 2 weeks ago and since then i fish it 80% of the time. I'm catching more fish using the drop shot than ever before. I use to bring out 5-6 combos when fishing. Now I only bring 2-3 combos because The drop shot is so effective for me I know I won't bother fishing anything else. I think people think the drropshot is a small fish technique because it's easier to catch smaller fish on it compared to a larger bait. But I've been catching plenty of fish in the 3-5lb range on it.
  22. Please explain. I'm interested in getting a curado for $100. Maybe there's a reason I shouldn't?
  23. I'll give it a try. Thanks
