Mixed Vacation Results
So I'm on vaca this week. Started my week on Sunday, took out the kayak to a new little pond but only caught 2; most of the time was scouting it anyway. Then on Wednesday, my buddy and I took my boat out to western Maine area to fish a lake with a pretty good reputation. I will not repeat that though. We fished 9 hrs and caught 1 bass each. Needless to say I will not be returning to that lake again any time soon. I shouldn't say that, it was a tough day all around. We spoke to 2 guys in Rangers and they they both had a tough day as well. The bite just was not on that day. We had a good dinner, some great beers and stayed in a motel for the night as we had planned on fishing said lake Thursday as well. Well after a couple beers we decided to stay the night there but get up early, drive back to our home lake and fish that today; and it didn't disappoint. Back to the normal 55 between the 2 of us in half the time. Saw a couple of eagles and then saw a moose swimming across the lake. We trolled over near it but I didn't want to stress him out so we stayed back as it got on shore, stood there for a couple of minutes catching his breath then wandered off into the woods. Here's a couple vaca bass

Co-Angler Turned Boater - Fishing Spots
If a boater showed you a brush pile that he sank personally, and no one else knew about it, I wouldn't fish it. But many of his "spots" are probably well known areas and free for the fishing. What are you supposed to do, stay away from every ledge on the lake just because he brought you there before?

New To Bass Fishing And Boating Need Some Motor Advice Also New To Forum
Welcome to the forum. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the primer bulb the only check valve in the system? My guess is still the bulb; maybe a defective one; possibly a crack in the fuel line somewhere letting air in and killing the prime? (did you replace the whole line or just the bulb?) Either way, it doesn't sound normal to me; I don't re-prime my system all day once it's started for the day. Let us know what the final fix was.

When Do You Stop Throwing Frogs?
Absolutely! Maybe if I was Dean Rojas and could catch a bass on a frog though the ice, then I'd continue to throw it. But there are just so many other proven producers that work better when water temps fall. Why try to force a bite? I'd rather pound em.

Fishing In Maine
What water are you fishing? I was out 1.5 weeks ago and water was 65 degrees so I would expect water to be about 60-61 now. I'd throw a red craw trap, green pumpkin Ned rig, jigs in green pumpkin and blk/blu and bama craw; square bills and spinnerbaits.

Ideas On My Engine Problem?
Ya, I'll definitely keep the tools with me and check it again if it does it. And I used steel core wires not graphite; my local NAPA made them up for me. Thanks again

Ideas On My Engine Problem?
So I took it out today and ran it until it dropped a cylinder. I held it at WOT for a minute or 2 then did the plug dump; took the cowling off and removed the plugs and found 2 wet plugs...??? So I swapped the coil from the dry plug cylinder to one of the wet ones, put it back together and ran it but couldn't make it drop a cylinder again. So i fished a good looking shoreline and caught 4 bass instead. My take on it is that I was having a contact/ground issue that got resolved when I disturbed the coils. I think I'll go back in, make sure everything is clean and snug and call it good until it happens again...if it happens again. I thank you for your help and suggestions!

Ideas On My Engine Problem?
Ty Sako, I will test it to make sure. And TY Way2. Great idea on swapping the coil. I manage an auto center and that's how we diag a car too; just never thought of doing that with my outboard. This thing just seems foreign to me for some reason. I'll keep you posted.
