Hey guys I'm in the market for one of these two trolling motors. I realize the motorguide isn't being sold until next month have any of you been able to test them out ? I know anglers help these companies with their prototypes. I want to make the right decision, any advice can help.

Hey guys after watching some videos on the motor guide xi5 I am tempted to buy one but won't be in the market until February. I was planning on buying an I pilot but the xi5 videos say that it's pretty noisy what do you think? I had a buddy tell me that he used one on a friends boat but that the delay from when you press a button to when it reacts is too slow for him. Thoughts?

The beginning...

I did it again, I bought the entry level product with the intent of learning how to use it. only to find out that the more expensive stuff is necessary when you fish often.

Ahhhh yea I like how it contains it's own line. I knew I bought the wrong one, oh well I will get my money's worth out of it before I replace it and then throw it on my old fishing gear bin I guess.

Yeah I like the idea of being able to reach out there and work the snag out with a pole. My only concern is that when extended the pole won't hold up to make pushing and pulling on it, is the pole stout enough when stretched out? Do it's individual sections lock in place?

I'd like to try and do a poll of guys favorite lure savers.... My tackle is getting more expensive plus I'm fishing more so I'm of course losing more. I just bout the cabelas snagmaster or whatever it's called but feel like I should have spent more for a better version. What are your favorites?

Hey are there any conventions or boat shows coming up?

Yea until now I have only put in at the boat ramp and paddled my butt off to get to my favorite spots

Hey does anyone know if you can access black hills lake from any other point then their boat ramp by the DNR building? I have a kayak and am trying to put in on the opposite side of the 121 Bridge, is that possible?

Hey guys I fish the tidal Potomac a lot where frogs of all styles are fished in and above spatterdock. I stumbled upon a soft plastic solid bodied frog that slowly sinks and for the life of me cannot find them anywhere and the bait has no logo on it. My question is why does a frog have to float? I understand that they are successful top water baits but the one I have used the most has a very subtle fall similar to a weightless wacky rigged senko. Unfortunately I only had a 3 pack and they were slowly chewed up or snagged in deeper cover and lost. I feel like with all the experimenting that we anglers do that someone has had to have tried to throw frogs below the surface and if so where better than Mattawoman Creek? I cannot be the only one that wants to fish a frog below the surface, am I crazy?
