Leftover Plastics
Nice work Blue! They will get better. I cut the excess off to round them out. But I tried making my own mold and the baits just didn't look how I wanted them. That is why I bought the silicone molds. RMax I don't think you'll have an issue outside other than wind.

Best casting rod under 150$
I am absolutely loving my Daiwa Tatula rod. Super sensitive, light, and powerful along with pretty. You can find it currently for 109 dollars.

How to make your own soft baits?
I like the silicone open pour molds you can get for cheap. Make sure to get a pyrex measuring cup (should be microwavable and glass). I recommend keeping your colors separate, and also some baits separate from others. For example I have no issue combining different types of plastics or brands as long as the composition is similar. Like someone mentioned the second time around the plastic becomes a little harder. I buy plastisol and pour a little plastisol in with the chopped up plastics, this helps keep the reused plastic from burning. Glitter looses its shine the more you heat it, so you may need to add a little more glitter if you want. Also I add scent just before pouring. This helps kill any burnt smell the plastisol may have. Make sure to chop the plastics in small pieces. Not big chunks. Then melt them. For the specifics of melting: Find some youtube videos on how to make soft plastic baits. There are a ton of them out there and many very good.

Has anyone tried the LiveTarget Swimbaits?
Yes, I have 3 of them. 2 of the smaller 4.5 inch threadfins and I had one of the bigger 5.5 in gold shiner. Haven't used them much, and haven't caught any fish on them. BUT I have used them enough to know they swim real good. Unfortunately I lost the gold shiner on a very slow retrieve. Think I got caught on a rock or something and was unable to get it loose from the bank in fairly deep water. They look great and swim great. Hopefully at some point soon I can use them again and try and catch some bass on them.

How many tries at a new pond before calling it quits
Tough question, I have a lake out there at a public park that I had heard was a good place for big bass. Went 2 times with a buddy and neither of us caught anything. I stopped going. Recently another friend went and caught a very nice bass. I then went with him and caught a 6lber. He has caught a few 5-6lbers now. Interesting thing is, it seems to be a lake with bigger fish, but not a lot of fish. Now when I go there I go there knowing I am looking for the big bite. Might be out there for 5 or 6 hours beating the bank and have only a couple of bass to show for it. But I know that one of them could be 5+lbs.

Muddy Water Florida
Most of the places I fish are clear water down here in South Florida. Several local ponds and lakes are crystal clear because they are limestone bottoms that filter the water. Most of our urban canals are fairly clear. Everglades can differ but it is usually lightly stained to stained depending where you are. Loxahatchee is clear On Lake Okeechobee you can find clear water in certain areas that I have fished.

Holey land
Been out there about 8 times. 2 times on boat and 6 times on bank. I haven't had any issues with theft. I guess you never know, anything can happen at any ramp. It is way out there, but haven't heard anything negative as opposed to US 27. I'm sure Big G will chime in at some point. He fishes Holey Lands fairly regularly. As far as the fishing is concerned, I've had good days and bad ones out there. My understanding is that the fishing is better on days where the pumps are running. These pumps make a bit of current and I guess it wakes them fish up. There is a lot of water to be fished out there. Several canals along with the big square lake. Cover is very different than other areas of the glades. Cover is a bit more sparse in the areas I have fished.

What one should I get suffix siege, pline cx, or berkley big game
I've had terrible luck with suffix siege. It breaks really easy. I would use Big Game before using Siege. I've never used Pline. So can't say anything about it. Though it is a copoly line, so it probably will sink. I don't particularly like a copoly for a spook.

Dobyns champ flip
I own a 765Flip and I punch into some extra heavy stuff with a 1 1/2 to 2oz weight. I have also used it with a 3/4oz and I have had no issues. It is a powerful rod. I see no reason why it can't handle what you want it to do. It is rated for 1/4-2oz. If you plan on punching a 1 1/2 oz weight, even with the bait you are going to be under 2oz.

Testing rod before buying
I've never done this or seen anyone do it. They will let you bring your reel in to pair it to the rod. Don't know about casting though.

Leftover Plastics
That's awesome! Hope you enjoy it! Beats tossing all those plastics in the trash. I've got a few 1 gallon zip lock bags full. I use uvibes and swimbaits and melt them into more swimbaits. Uvibes are cheap to start with, if you remelt them a couple times they become super cheap. Make sure you've got good ventilation though. Melting the plastics gives off a strong odor, and you don't want to inhale all them fumes.

Leftover Plastics
I melt them and pour my own baits. You could get some cheap silicone molds in the 6-12 dollar range. Don't even need an injector. Just pour in the mold. Got mine at lurecraft. They have TONS of cheap molds.

Calling out the diawa guys
I have a Tatula Tactical, Tatula Type R, and a Tatula CT. All of them are excellent for flipping, pitching, short casts, medium casts and long casts. Haven't found much limitation. Unless you want to go ultra finesse and light. But it don't sound like it. They are so good, that I've basically replaced my reel lineup with them. When the Tatula SV version comes out this year, I will most likely get one of them too.

braid or possibly albright knot issues
Couple things you can try. 1) Use that same line and tie a palomar and see if you have issues. 2) If you do with the palomar then change the braid out and try your albright knot.

Line tangled in baitcaster
30lb braid digs in quite a bit on baitcasters. Happens to me with Power Pro also. I've moved to 40lb and have found less issue. This happens mostly when your line gets caught up and you pull it free. What happens is that line digs into the rest of the line. So when you cast normally the line that is on top comes out first but if there is line on top of the line that is supposed to come out first then it just stops and your lure falls half way into the cast. Normally what I do is after I know I've pulled on my line and there is possible digging, I will make a short cast, and just pull line out by hand. Usually you'll feel the line pop free. At that point reel back in and make your normal cast. This will happen with braid. Only way to avoid this after getting hung is if you grab the line and pull it free instead of just thumbing the spool and pulling.

Cabela's Arachnid Rods
That's true, I didn't notice that.

Cabela's Arachnid Rods
I would assume they are similar to the Tatulas. Like the Arachnid reel is a Tatula reel but with blue accents, which I kind of like lol. I just bought a Tatula 7'4" Frog Rod, haven't fished it yet but I am very impressed with the workmanship, the looks and the feel of this light rod. Craww since you held the arachnid, how did it feel as far as weight? The Tatula rod is 4.0oz and feels just as light as a BPS Carbonlite. Edit: Correction, I just got a good look at the rod, and it looks nothing like the Tatula. The wording to describe it is different, and the Tatula rods don't have K Frame guides or SiC inserts. BUT the blank itself after zooming in on it looks to be unsanded just like the Tatula. So if Dawia is making this rod, they are using higher end components on it than their Tatula series.

tackletrap is a good place for bearings.

favorite 17lb fluorocarbon line??
Invizx 15 is what I use. No issues yet. I tie a palomar knot and I soak my line in spit when I am cinching it down.

Our UPS guy usually puts whatever package down next to my door, gives a super quick knock and is in the truck driving off by the time I open the door.

100% New to fishing what should i buy?
If you are dead set on the 10, amazon has fantastic customer service. I usually don't even call, I use the live chat feature. They make things right when they screw up. You got a good reel there. Pflueger makes some good spinning gear. I have a Trion 25 which is awesome. It is smaller than the reel you got.
