What brand mono?
I like Sunline Natural Mono 16lb for the following reasons compared to other Mono: Smaller Diameter Above Average Sensitivity Less Stretch More Supple Great cast distance More Manageable Strong Line Inexpensive Second on my list, Senshi 15-20: Pros Small Diameter Slightly better sensitivity than Sunline Less Stretch Florescent Blue Great cast distance Cons compared to Sunline Less Manageable Not as Strong so I go 20lb instead of 15. But Diameter is still less or equal to most 15lb lines More expensive

Hard Baits and Trebles
I used to never replace the trebles on my cranks or topwater lures. Then I lost a few fish on cranks and had a fish bend a treble on one of my spooks. At that point I did some research, ended up getting the Mustad KVD Triple Grip hooks and I love them. They are tough, and sharp as heck. Haven't lost a fish or bent a hook since. I have replaced most the hooks on most of my lures that I feel needed replacing. I think it is well worth having less lures with the right hooks. Or find a brand of lures that has great hooks already even if they cost a little more. But I prefer changing them, so I know exactly what I have on the lure.

My CT Type-R is here, but ...
Thanks, but I will be building my own rods soon enough. I actually just got a Tatula Rod to match with my Lews Team Lite for my Frogging. Other than that though, I plan on building my other rods.

My CT Type-R is here, but ...
This is why I stayed away from the Type R. I got the regular CT for this reason. In pictures the red on the reel looks a little more pink to me. The red accents looked really red.

Yeah, good thing they are cheap. tackletrap should have on the website, otherwise you can call them up. They will get you the right retainer and your reel will match. lol Bothers me too. Also I match my rod with my reels. So if I have a reel with red accents I need a rod with red accents, or all black. I am currently using a few rods with different colors than the Daiwa reels and it's driving me nuts.

Disney World
Turkey Lake is great. They have the jon boats free now? They used to cost like 25 bucks for 4 hours or something like that and only certain days of the week.

What pound backing for Fluoro
For me I look at diameter instead of lbs. I match diameter with diameter. If the lbs match up then even better.

Morning vs evening fishing
Afternoon and Evening has been best for me. I've caught bigger fish overall.

BPS Stik O
Usually it's the Spring fishing Classic. I think sometime in Feb. They usually sell the 50 count bags for 10 bucks or something like that.

scent
Good comparison. Some people will tell you color doesn't matter. I think it does...sometimes. Scent falls in that category for me.

100% New to fishing what should i buy?
Michael I have a Mustang. If you have a car that is smaller than that then maybe a 2 piece will be better. But I can fit rods through the truck of 7'6" in length without issue. So this all depends on what car you have.

Can you flip/pitch with spinning tackle?
Hmm, the Tatula does a good job of keeping my line from overrunning or backlashing. BTW I got them backwards lol. Flipping might be easier on the spinning outfit. Pitching is what I do where I thumb the line to prevent a backlash. I always get the two terms mixed up. I think you're right, the ceiling might be an issue.

BPS Stik O
During the Classic is the best time to get them.

All I know is, when I smell some good food I start to feel hungry. I think we all experience this. put something delicious next to us that smells great and soon our appetite will kick in. Anyone have pets? Start making dinner and notice your pets go nuts. Sometimes my dog has food in her plate, she hasn't eaten. I start to cook, she comes over starts sniffing the air and moments later goes over to her food and starts to chow down. If bass can smell, and I think they can, then perhaps a smelly shad, or craw could activate their hunger. Again I don't know, just using logic. I have no science to back it up. It can also depend on what you use. For example the spray scents might hit the water and disperse. That smell then goes up and down the water column and spreads activating some of the fish that might have ignored the bait before.

Catching shallow largemouth busting on baitfish
A stick bait, with no weight or 1/32 to 1/16oz bullet weight. I have caught several fish that have busted on bait and followed it up with a sticko right onto the water swirl or right around it. Almost never fails. A vibe tail worm will work well too. If it's a school busting on baitfish, a topwater lure like a spook has worked good.

Can you flip/pitch with spinning tackle?
Hey Fishing Fool, not all reels are made the same. What I mean by that is, I was having issues as well. I have found that my Scorpion DC7 isn't very good for flipping. I tried it for a while, but this reel excels in long casts. I think the digital brake system doesn't really have enough time to kick in when flipping, so I was ending up with all kinds of backlashes and line knots. I haven't had that issue since switching to a Tatula Type R. I keep my brake setting on around 8 out of 20 (Magforce Z) that seems to do the trick. So my point is some baitcasters are better for flipping than others. What do you use?

BPS Stik O
I fish a bunch of different stick baits. I've moved away from the GY Senko because of price. For me the Stickos are just as productive as the Senko. There is a video out there also showing it side by side with a senko in a pool. I forget who posted it, but he tested many brands and the Sticko has the most similar fall rate and action out of the stick baits tested. I recently started throwing the Netbait Stick Bait and I really like them. They have more wiggle than the Sticko. I shy away from any stick bait that has a hook gap. I don't like them personally. I prefer to texpose and then poke the point of the hook back into the bait.

scent
I used KVD FishSticks for over a year. I really like them because they are not messy. It is like applying lip balm on the bait. I've used Shad and Craw. Both seem to work just fine. Most baits these days come with some sort of scent. Some don't though. If a bait comes with scent I usually won't apply any. If a bait doesn't then I may apply some FishSticks on it. Generally I will only put some on the front of the bait up to the end of the hook and then some on the hook. I started doing this one day when I was getting a ton of short strikes. It seemed to work for me. Not sure if it was a confidence thing, mental, or if the fish actually decided to start eating the entire worm.

Loxahatchee Wildlife Refugee + lakes near West Palm Beach
Don't know about break ins, but at the ramp BassinLou is talking about is pretty close to the flats. You do have to beware of vultures certain times of the year. Seen the damage they can do to any plastic on your truck.

Have I paired my rods and reels right?
Great reel! Love mine! They are excellent for flipping, or even the frog. I was bombing crank baits last week on mine. For frog I would go with MH if you aren't fishing heavy cover. Heavy if you are fishing cover.

Power Pro vs Sufix 832
That's pretty darn good. BPS down here charges around 19 or so.

Power Pro vs Sufix 832
At BPS PP is overpriced. Walmart is the place to go for it. 13 or 14 bucks for the spool. At least at my Walmart. Either way, don't think you'll go wrong with either brand.

Rod Question
I will agree with the others, but also take into account what rod will you be using most? What is your preferred technique? For me its simple, bottom contact because that is what I use most. It is the most critical rod in my arsenal.

Amazon Daiwa Tatula Super Cheap?
I bought my Type R from Amazon for extra cheap because box was damaged. Reel was in perfect shape. The one shown on there is the Type R. Great reel. I love it, it is bulky and heavy. If you have small hands I don't recommend it. I also have a CT. I love the CT, it weighs less and palms better. Great reel. I have ZR Bearings on both the Type R and the CT and they are an excellent upgrade. I was bombing a KVD 1.5 crank the other day. Then switched to a Yum Sharp Shooter (Dropshot bait) with a 1/16 oz bullet weight. No issue casting that with ease. Love these Tatulas.
