  1. Josh, not sure what part of the state you live in, but 3 miles down the road from me my brother and his friend deer hunting, swear to be damned that they saw a wolf, Idk... That was 2 years ago, in 2000 Spainhour, Conservation officer told me that they had several sightings reported, asked if we saw something to report it, I have only ever seen large A males pretty good size coyotes, but not wolf size.... Rumors continue to Fly though... It seems to me, someone would have dropped one by now.
  2. Yea, saw that a couple weeks ago.... It looks way cheesy to me, and overpriced as well. Too bad.
  3. Healthy looking Frog Fish! Nice Job!
  4. DVT, I hear amazing chatter about it, plus you do get a discount as a member. Check them out, that's my advice!
  5. So water clarity is..? I fished 40 to 60 different pond/ pits.. In the Oseola and other places, also many other huge waters there in Fl. One possibility is, it just doesn't have many LMB, one pond comes to mind... We just called it the clear pond... Now, in order for us to even have a chance, we would cast from 25' off the bank, with Trig worms 7" , up on the Bank? Forget it , nothing, I mean nothing, there was big fish in there too... We applied hunting skills w/ fishing and we succeeded , many 5 to 7 , not all will be that clear, but that pond has probably been beat to death, just a guess... I would fish it though, since it's on you're door step!

Well read reviews on *** they are not exactly stellar, look, been using Owners for years and older models of Mustad and some gammys for small work... Not one hook failure ever! Not one! I bought a pack of Trokar flipping hooks, 4/0.... One point roll over, first use.... Trash can! That's my advice, FWIW.....Don't fret though, Owner makes the best hooks on the market... Again my opinion , I do like many Gamakatsu models too though.... Surely, you would find reliable hooks with these other company's... Hooks are So important..... Good luck..... Reviews = TW....
  7. I use to catch Rock Bass in a few Creeks/ small rivers, it looks like a Rock Bass, goggle eye... I am not sure as its been years since I stuck one, nice fish...
  8. You can Hunt with a centerfire pistol, I might add
  9. I can only remember but a few years outta 30 where a Hunter in Kentucky was Killed by a discharged weapon, a Bullet that just keeps going and someone pays... It's an accident , yes, however it's something strongly to consider, I hunted with my Slug gun... It works and it's safer, besides in Indiana you can't hunt with a center fire , in the southern areas yea you could because it's got massive hills and such... I love centerfire... But you just HAVE to consider the facts of these weapons.
  10. Yea, Raul that's a good point, yet again, ultra steel transmits like tungsten! I have been playing with some bell sinkers, eg: dropshot.. Tube rigs, I have been impressed! Can't hardly find slips and a 1/2 oz is the size of a 1 1/4 oz tungsten.. If they would elongate it,...spread the weight out smaller diameter, vs a fatty huge sinker I would use it full time.....
  11. DVT .... I have only heard exceptional chatter about his work... It's quite affordable especially with you're BR discount
  12. I don't blame you one bit Hootie, I first bought tungsten in about 98 , then 6, 1/4oz slips, were about 3. 50$ and I guess it's the only thing in fishing that seems to make makers very wealthy, at today's prices..... I have 150 pieces now, I won't buy it ever, unless it's slashed in price. I will be using brass probably idk... Guess I will cross that road later. I had about 100 tungsten jigs too, I got 6 now.... I know exactly how you feel.... I believe with that Nrx... You can use a plastic sinker and feel anything, right? I hear they are that good!
  13. I got a 102mm on my cte200gt... It's a awesome very well made in USA /Fl. Carbon handle... I am not exactly sure... But I would bet less than 90 mm for sure. You would like it I am certain. I got to order a couple more with color, just money right? Gotta love fishing! But I ain't flipping or pitchin in Florida or Texas with no 50/51 I got big muscle for that work! It would work I suppose, but naaa, not for me!
  14. Yep, they do... Thanks aavery2 always appreciate the help!
  15. Wow... Sun is mighty powerful, plus chemicals in water ways can contribute... I never used less than 8 myself... I change out every 3 to 4 full days, for years fishing in brackish or salt everyday, I kid you not. Humm, but idk.. I have always noticed my co polys or whatever becoming slightly more brittle too... Why I change out so often. I just want fresh line on, just a old habit...
  16. Nothing overly wrong with a AR15...I have frangable Federal police rounds they will not pass thru a wall... Period. 45 caliber is my choice as well in a hand gun... I use to own a HK 45 carbine.. Loved it... A few weapons are better than some, Any weapon is better than a Knife. IMO...
  17. BigBlock.... I would think a tree stand could be beneficial to help too... @ 12 ft that bullet should have a much better chance to hit the ground and stop its momentum, however there is no real positive way to know what that bullet will do.
  18. Well stated Josh, nice work.
  19. Thanks Goose! Thanks....
  20. Thanks goose, was trying to order from another place, glad I asked! I appreciate the link too!
  21. No, speed.... That was the whole point, had nothing to do with water temp. Not a thing... Speed of Retrieve/ aka ipt... Reels and ipt was much slower then, now reels are way faster.
  22. Ok, went to order a core mg7 gear set to drop in my Cu 51E.. Left crank... Well I stalled because, I felt certain that left gear crank gear sets were different than right crank gear sets... Am I right or wrong? Edit: also will this affect my line lay?
  23. Nice Tip! Somebody will jump at that, I am sure.
