Drop Shot Leader
Yea I did the year before but after the rave reviews of using braid with a leader I decided to try it. I think I might be going back to the fluoro this year. Have you tried the 100% XL? It's a little more limp and seems to have a bit more stretch, but I really like that too.

Topwater Frog Colors
If it's over top of matted vegetation without any holes, I don't think color seems to matter much. However where there are more holes in something like pads or in open water color matters more. If you don't have much for waves on the water, the surface actually can look like a mirror if looked at from an angle. When those conditions are present as the frog rolls on the walk, the color of the top is actually reflected downward.

Low Pitch Or Frequency Lipless Crankbaits Help
x2 on his choices! Also, the wally world specials that come in the blister packs are made from a different mold. If you look at them closely they have a bump on each side about 1/4 of the way down the body.

Hb 898 Question
I'm guessing you've probably checked already, but make sure the brightness is turned up all the way as well. You have to push the power button to get that menu up.

How To Control Distance To Target With Spinning Reel
You can feather the spool by cupping your off hand around adding friction to the line, or you can use your pointer finger on your casting hand to move it towards the spool again slowing the rate at which comes off the spool. Either way it's pretty easy to do, and actually sounds harder than what it is.

St Croix Avid
As S Havanec said, the salt water power ratings are different than the fresh water power ratings. The Avid series of rods are great rods and you can't go wrong with them.

Anyone Not Care About There Combos Appearance Or Colors?
I like it when they match, but not to the point where I'm going to hate it if it doesn't.

Is A Long Leader Okay? What Lb. Test?
Being that you want to see your line, you might want to consider changing your main line. I think it might easier to do that than to use a leader long enough that you can see it above the water.

This May Be A Stupid Queston, Motor Position While Stored
Leave it on your transom saver and don't think twice about it. There are so many more stresses on a transom than sitting stationary in a garage.

Fish-Catching Method For My Girlfriend
I'm with Francho. Moving baits are the way to go aside from panfishing with live bait. I think the most important thing for someone new to the sport is that they get action. I know when I started as a little kid, I didn't get into it by sitting there for hours of not getting bit. Best of luck to keeping her interest! A couple that can fish together is awesome!

How To Mount Transducer On A Bassbaby?
I'd say either mount it on the trolling motor, which could be a pain if you remove it all the time, or you can make a sort of bracket to clamp on the back and mount the transducer to that. It'd be essentially where you would mount it if the wheels weren't there, but when you need it out of the way, take it off and lay it in the boat.

What's The Craziest Vehicle Towing A Boat You've Seen?
Saw a guy pulling an almost new bass boat with a truck that look like it was one of the worse ones pulled from a junk yard. Before I owned a tow vehicle I once borrowed my grandma's gold PT Cruiser to pull my little Ranger.

Squarebill Crankbaits Confuse Me
Squarebills are great around any sort of shallow cover. The majority of the time your retrieve is going to be faster than with the deeper divers. If you can get it to make contact as people have stated that can be golden. If not, it doesn't mean you won't catch anything because you certainly can.

How Full Is Full?
Curado is over filled and Tatula is under filled. The Tatula will be fine to fish with as is for now. I'd pull off a few yards on the Curado until it's at or just under the bevel. Over filling can be the cause of a backlash. If you don't get any, then leave it where it is. If you get them occasionally, pull a little off and see if that helps.
