  1. How much did you look? TW has the fat in 3.8 and 4.8. Regular in 4.5. Several on eBay too
  2. Maybe I'll have o do that, never tried ZPIs before
  3. Decided the FMJ needed a different reel, new Tatula SV outfitted with a RCS carbon handle and SLP knobs. I think the neon green really pops. Now for tuning and Bocas...
  4. Anybody know of a current eBay code? I haven't seen anything lately
  5. You can't really go wrong, but bombshell shad, bluegill, green crystal, shad spawn, and florida hammer to name a few.
  6. Nichols makes excellent spinnerbaits, I think I currently own around 35 of them. Great colors, good components and excellent customer service. Get some, you'll like them
  7. I know they aren't really cool anymore, but tubes are my favorite finesse bait. 2.5-3.5" size in whatever color you like, easy to use and they can produce some good fish when nothing else seems to work. They work better than a Ned Rig for me
  8. Jerkbaits, big swimbaits, tubes, jigs
  9. I'm just holding out hope for a Dobyns sale somewhere soon
  10. Are you referring to the new enthusiast level rods I've heard about? Definitely excited to see them
  11. It can be applied to "sale" items, but not in addition to the % off type sales.
  12. They smell good too! Hershey blue vein is a great color Of course I waited and the code expired
  13. Has their ever been a Dobyns day during the TW Christmas sale? Been wanting a new Champ XP but am kicking myself for not grabbing one during all the Black Friday sales
  14. I use rods from various companies, but it seems like the Megabass and Dobyns are starting to outnumber everything else
  15. Last chance is great, I've ordered from them several times and have nothing but positive things to say.
  16. I think you'll really like the FMJ once you give it a little more time. I'd bought mine primarily for jigs and plastics but quickly found out how versatile it is. Frogs, swimbaits, horny toads, chatterbaits, and bigger topwaters are all well within it's capabilities. As a guy who often fishes from smaller craft and can't bring out a dozen setups, a versatile rod is important
  17. I use this rod with a Tatula CT and it's been just about perfect for chatterbaits. In addition the the sale on Orochi rods, you can get a CT dirt cheap right now and stay well under $300
  18. No no, I'm pretty sure you need it
  19. You'll still get the discount, they just can't "advertise" it. Usually the only brand truly excluded is megabass I'm really liking my Diablo, it's good for a lot of applications TW site seems really bogged down
  20. X2 on getting a fury during the sales
  21. I wouldn't flip with 12#, but depending on the swimmers you throw it could work, prob not throwing big Swimbaits on a flipping stick anyway. If I'm not mistaken, butch brown throws the 250 with 15# fluoro
  22. They are fishing lures, not taxes, so nobody is being forced to pay for them. Don't want to spend $20 on a Megabass bait? That's fine, there are many more economical options, and they catch fish. If you go the cheaper route, don't knock the high end stuff just because you think its too expensive. On the other hand, if you buy a lot of higher end baits don't hate on the less expensive options.
  23. Nice. I really don't need a new rod right now but these are so d**n tempting
  24. Here is some more good info on Stockton: http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/forum/46-stockton-lake/ Also, since you are going to Springfield for BPS, it would be worth a stop at Lew's/Sportsmans Factory Outlet. This store isn't quite the same "experience" per se but they have a good selection (and better prices than bass pro)
