Jigs around wood and beavers in the grass. There was also a pretty good chatterbait bite once the sun began to set. I couldn't say one section of the lake is better than the other. All I have fished this year was near the flag pole.

I won a tournament there earlier in the summer. My most recent trips were decent, but slow. Im limited on the lake because my boat has a 150hp, so all I can use is my trolling motor. Grass in 5+ feet of water and any wood you can find.

The only other option is the arrow simply is off. Remove the cap and set it back in place.

Maybe your shaft turned inside the housing. Is your prop spinning counter clockwise, as it should? If so, that confirms what I just mentioned. If not, it is a polarity issue.

Was it torn apart? It sounds like the magnets spun.

I caught a 40" inch muskie on 6lb test this spring and a 34" muskie on 10lb test. It can be done.

This is probably one of my most successful summers. I've been fishing mostly Raystown and Sayers, but have made a few trips to Glendale. Power fishing is the way to go. Cover water until you find them. Most of my luck has been fishing rip rap or wood in the 5'-10' range. Fishing slow is a waste of time if you aren't on the fish!

You can even save a few bucks by buying jig heads and skirts to put together on your own. Either way it is totally worth it!

Consider this, bass each creature baits that don't resemble any kind of real forage. Why wouldn't they eat a crawfish?!

Choose bait colors that imitate the natural color of forage (shad, crawfish, bluegill, etc). No way would I skip out on jigs to start. They are all to versatile!

Check out the Berkley Havoc baits. They are good/cheap baits ($3/pack). I would suggest the fatty craws, grass pig swimbaits, juice worms, flat dawgs, bottom hoppers and pit boss. Obviously you would need the terminal tackle to accompany those. Throw in a crankbait, spinnerbait, and some jigs to complete your box. Color wise stick with the natural colors.

Slate run is a great area. Lots of Lilly pads and grass. Either frogs or creature baits flipped through them works great. My buddy and I just won a tournament there last week by fishing from the flag pole to the dam, using senkos and a sweet beaver. To many good areas there to list them all.

I blanked the first tournament of the year and climbed back to 5th. I still have 8 tournaments to go. Don't count yourself out!

This is my third year tournament fishing and I got my first win this past week. The four tournaments I fished this year I've finished 5th, 5th, 3rd, and first. This is by far the best year I've had! I've never finished in the money before.

I had a club tournament at Raystown Sunday. Only 4 fish were weighed! Fishers of Men weighed 12 fish Saturday.

Pretty much what happened, but I could still lift my trailer off the ball with it latched.

Some how the underjaw slipped up over the pin it is supposed to pivot on, allowing the ball to slip down out of the coupler. I don't know if the metal bent or just a freak incident.

I went to my local lake today, only catching a few shad. I made it about a mile from the launch, on my way home, when the coupler on my trailer broke. Sure enough my trailer comes unhitched, slams the back of my fruck and then slams the ground. Thankfully this happened just after a sharp curve and that the safety chains did their job. No damage was done to my boat and only some cosmetic damage to the truck. The good thing to all of this is that there is a tractor supply 3 miles from the launch. I was able to carefully limp there and get a new coupler. Man I hope that never happens again!

I was maybe 10-12 years old canoeing on a river throwing a 3" chartreuse grub, just as happy as could be catching pan fish. I threw next to a submerged log and hooked a 2lb smallie. I ended up swimming for that fish because he got me tangled in the wood, but I got him! I grew up trout fishing and had never caught a bass before that. At the time I thought it was an absolute monster. It wasnt until 2 years ago that I got hooked on bass though.

Koofy, why is your cranking battery low after a day on an electric only lake? Is your tm connected to it?

Your depth really becomes a factor. If you are looking at the bottom of 300 feet you could be looking at something in front of your boat. Keep in mind the more shallow the water, the smaller the cone. Typically, yeah, the graph depicts objects we have passed over.
