Has It Been Good Or Bad?
Numbers and size are down for be this year. Very long winter followed by a mild summer combined with weather changing daily makes it a tough year for fishing I guess. I'm catching a lot more northern pike than I am bass this year.

How Often Do You Catch Lunkers?
In the waters I fish I would consider anything over 4 pounds to be a lunker, although there are much bigger fish in these waters. I consider 5 to be in the trophy class. I wish I could say I caught a lunker every time out, but that's far from the truth. This year I have yet to break 5 pounds, but I did it a couple times last year. Plenty of 4 pounders this year, just nothing above 5.

Is It Necessary To Add A Split Ring To Zara Spooks Or Kvd Sexy Dawgs?
Never tried a split ring, but some walking baits do "walk" better than others. But hands down the easiest to walk for me has been the Rebel Jumpin' Minnow. Little to zero effort has to be put in, and the bait will also have the same walking action slightly below the water's surface.

Adrian Peterson - I Hope It's Not True
This is like saying a bad politician doesn't make his party or the government as whole look bad. It does. Of course players' behavior makes the NFL look bad, since they are the ones directly representing the NFL.
-
Adrian Peterson - I Hope It's Not True
Like I said all sports have criminals, and these cases you named I was unaware of other than the Urbina case. But NFL players do most certainly "take the cake". Shootings, murder, manslaughter, illegal firearms, none of these things you can argue are a chronic problem for baseball! In football it's sadly almost part of the culture for these players, especially if when it's all said and done, they can go right back to earning their million dollar paycheck. But while other sports obviously have their criminals, violent or not, you cannot say that the NFL isn't the worst afflicted by violent crimes.
-
Adrian Peterson - I Hope It's Not True
Sure all sports have their stars who committ crimes, but the NFL takes the cake by far. Just recently look at Tank Johnson, Michael Vick, Plaxico Burress, Donte Stallworth, Pacman Jones, Ray Lewis, Ray Rice, Aaron Hernandez and there are a lot more. These people aren't just criminals, they are violent criminals. That doesn't make the NFL look bad? Maybe not to you, but this problem is NOWHERE near as prolific in other sports as it is football. In fact, this is a big reason why I have no interest in the NFL anymore. I have no interest in watching guys who arguably should be serving lenghthy prison sentences ( ESPECIALLY STALLWORTH AND RICE) be looked at as stars, let alone role models. All NFL players are not thugs, not by a long shot. But that doesn't mean the thug/upstanding citizen ration isn't higher in football that in other sports. In all professional sports, there is always a policy of tolerance towards star players, regardless of what that level of tolerance may be. I just stick to MLB. Rarely are MLB stars incarcerated. Sure, some may dabble in PEDs now and then, but they don't get arrested for it. I'm hard pressed thinking of an MLB player who has been arrested for violence, other than former 2B Chuck Knoblauch.

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, And Ian Kinsler Apparently Hates Texas
I didn't catch the ump calling it a swing. Only saw the video a few times. I know the Miami pitcher got ejected when he retaliated. He hit Gomez so I'm surprised it didn't get ugly. They're saying Stanton doesn't need surgery but Miami and all the other teams don't know who he is going to be next year. He won't even have time to prove himself this season.

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, And Ian Kinsler Apparently Hates Texas
Anyone see Giancarlo Stanton get hit in the face? That was some scary stuff. It was tough to watch. Multiple facial fractures they said...I guess he is ok today but that really is too bad. One of the greatest hitters right now, possibly on his way to a NL MVP award, and he was certainly on his way to a huge contract, Miami or not. I wonder how this will affect his FA status.

How Many Lures Do You Have?
Didn't count, but my hard baits probably number in the few hundreds. Soft plastics, I have enough bags to fill a large contractor bag. Tackle collection is just another way to enjoy the pastime to the fullest.

Ever Call Out Sick To Go Fishing?
My "sick" days are usually reserved for when I want to go fishing. If I'm really sick then I tough it out just so I can call out to fish at another date. Only chance I get to be on the water during a weekday...I mean no! Of course I don't!

Hook Question; Worm Hooks ?
90% of the time I'm using either a 3/0 or a 4/0 EWG hook for worms and any other plastics. I bump up to 5/0 for bigger worms and plastics.

Kissing Bass?
It's not something I really see as all that gross, but I have no need or want to do it. Although I've done it once it twice joking around. I usually just give it a "thank you buddy".

Lunkers Summer 2014
Wow 7.1. Nice. My year hasn't been great. Numbers and size are down considerably from last year. Last year got a few over 5 pounds, this year my biggest is 4.84. I've gotten probably 10 this year right below the 5 pound mark, just can't break it.

A few good pennant races heating up, especially in both centrals. I would love to see KC in the playoffs, really to see their fans go absolutely crazy. I didn't think the Brewers would hang, but I wasn't expecting them to be around this long! I really hope the Braves make one last run at the division, but they gotta start hitting and the Nats have to start losing. I'm predicting LAA vs LAD. LA showdown. Either way I can't wait to watch some playoff ball.
