Will Bass Eat Crayfish/crawdad Baits Even If They Are Not The Natural Forage Of The Lake Or Pond?
Yep.

How Do You Guys Peg/pin Your T-Rig's Weights?
I just use Eagle Claw bobber stops. You get like 20 for a buck.

Night Fishing Rookie
Just having fun. I said a couple times other colors will work. You Must've missed it. Just said black has worked better for me. Just gotta read all of what I write dude.

Big Worms And Hooks
I use EWG 90% of the time. On 10" worms I use a 5/0 Gamakatsu.

Removing A Hook From Yourself...
I really really really hope I never have to refer to this video. I've had some close calls, but never past the barb!

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, And Ian Kinsler Apparently Hates Texas
Jigfishn10, you just had to go there didn't you? Lol I guess I should have said "supposed to beat good hitting." Atlanta definitely should have won more, but first round exits are kinda their thing lol. Really no excuses why Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz and Avery (can't remember the 5th...Kent Mercker maybe?) didn't win more World Series'. Not like they had a slouch offense either. With the horrible upper management in ATL right now, it amazes me that the Braves can even compete. I swear Fredi Gonzalez tries to put together the least-sensible batting order he can think of.

Beginner's Tackle
I would start with a couple packs of senkos (maybe watermelon and red shad?), a couple packs of ribbon-tails, and a creature or craw bait like brush hogs or rage craws. I'd also get some 2/0 straight shank hooks, some 3/0 EWG hooks, and some tungsten (or maybe lead for a beginner, it's a lot cheaper) bullet weights 3/16-1/4 oz. I definitely think senkos would be the best place to start.

Night Fishing Rookie
I've caught plenty at night with baits that aren't black.

Are There Shad In Northern Lakes?

Night Fishing Rookie
I always used to night fish with the same colors as I would during the day (watermelons, pumpkins etc). Sure I caught fish, but when I started using black and junebug I caught a lot more. I did compare them on more than 1 outing. I found that I got a lot more hits and because of that more fish on black. I don't always think color is of huge importance but in my night fishing experiences black has out produced everything.

Never Buying A Strike King Product Again
Don't use SK hard baits much, but IMO no other company even comes close to the Rage Tail line.

Night Fishing Rookie
Black will silhouette the best against a night sky. It's not about food color, it's about contrast. I did say other colors work, just black has been by far the most productive.

Night Fishing Rookie
Nope...but believe it or not it does get dark at night. Dark means not much light.

Night Fishing Rookie
Oh yeah...the big'ns come out at night!

Night Fishing Rookie
All black everything! Black jitterbugs, black 10" worms, brush hogs, black jigs and trailers, lizards. You can have any color you like...as long as it's black . Other colors work, but black is definitely the best for night fishing.

Night Fishing And Bigger Bass?
I love night fishing, especially in strip pits. I have definitely noticed a size increase at night. More 19-21" fish came from night fishing than anything else. Black jitterbugs, black lizards, worms and craws. Try going during an extreme heat wave. I noticed better results with night fishing during a heat wave.

Driving The Hook Through Plastics
Are you using braid? Doesn't stretch so there's no force lost on the hookset.

Recieved Some New Worms.
I use EWG hooks for ribbon-tails because the worm lays straighter than on regular off-set hooks. I usually use a weight from 1/8-5/16 oz. I cast it out, let it sit for 10 seconds and then shake the worm a litte bit. After that I start a slow stop-and-go retrieve, with periodic shaking-in-place. My favorite worm is a Culprit 10" ribbon-tail.

To Peg Or Not To Peg
I only peg my weight when I'm throwing T-rigs into brush/wood. Otherwise the line can get wrapped easier around a branch. I don't peg the weight in clear water only because it's hard getting a bobber stop on 25lb fluorocarbon.

Siebert Jigs
My favorite jig head from Siebert is the Brush head. Perfect for throwing into logs and branches (which is what I'm throwing at 90% of the time) but I haven't found a situation where the brush head won't work. Pulls through the weeds easily and even stands up on a flat bottom.

Any Luck In Upstate Ny?
Got these ones over the weekend. 4.58 lbs 4.84 Friday was a good day after three straight days of storms and a 20 degree temperature drop. Bunch of bass and a few pike. Saturday and Sunday were tough though.
