  1. If you get the single hook original rooster tail it will take care of must of your snagging issues. Cabelas carries then in 1/16 sizes, you can order from the brand website for other sizes with still single hook...good bye snags
  2. I got a 4ft 6 ugly stick that is good for small to medium size streams. then bigger rods would be better for bigger rivers. Basically you need a long rod and a small.....But id go small first ,
  3. I hate that there are commercial breaks every two minutes. The show is basically one long commercial. Guess those shows are good when winter come thru, but could use tons of improvement. Like having more trout fishing shows. Never understood why ppl make a big deal of crappie fishing, sunny fishing. I guess I got bored with fishing for warm water fish. Don't like fishing in pond or lakes. But that's just my opinion. Plus there are way more streams to fish on than lakes or ponds.
  4. Id like a trout/salmon place on this site. Thinking that all northern u.s. has trout
  5. Thus site is 99 percent bass, I'm disappointed also.
  6. Nice catch, some big boys there. In pa, there's one c+r stream that I know of that's designated the trophy trout program. Artificial only. Is it the same in that stream?
  7. What works well to lubricate your reel looking for any easy solution. Vaseline? Wd40?
  8. Doesn't look like there's difference between the desktop site and mobile site
  9. Does everyone like the new site look? Just gotta say I miss the old one.
  10. 1/8 rooster tail but to pick just one color... Don't know if I would go green. In the summer I like a yellow and black or mustard yellow and black rooster. Winter I been doing ok on black rooster tail , with ultra violet highlights in the tail. The hair or tail on the rooster is very eye catching for the trout. But to each his own. Also the lighter rooster tails don't sink as fast,
  11. I catch more trout casting upstream than downstream. In fact I only cast downstream in the rain, or murky water. When casting upstream keep your line tight so as to keep out from hitting ir snagging the bottom, polarized glasses help you to see the action of your rooster tail.
  12. What were you using as bait?
  13. Great job. Now you gotta go and catch a tiger, palomino, bow, brown, and a brook trout. The quest never ends.
  14. Good job, Not always easy getting a great pic by yourself. We all know that, lol. What type , size line are you using?
  15. Try another pond, or take up trout fishing... problem solved, lol. Good luck
  16. Where are the pictures, just saying
  17. Yikes, nice pic.did it give you a battle reeling in?
  18. I go fishing with my buddy who trout fish with his bass rod. From what I notice he is weary to set the hook hard because he had a medium 6 ft rod. , plus braid. It's too strong for such small game fish.I prefer ultra lite.
  19. I don't know how many trout are at the hole in the river or stream you fish, but I have to cover allot off water, walking up the stream. Trout fishing is like hunting In water. Typically I just go with a rooster tail, I only change lures when a big fish steals it and breaks my line or it's worn out. Also the stream goes on for ever, , need to cover water, more water covered, more fish possible
  20. Yellow and black or mustard yellow and black rooster tail. Fish upstream, wade upstream. Fish never see it coming
  21. Certain times of the year, you might be into different fish. Being able to locate the forums about a certain fish would great.
  22. 1. It's bass resource but got gun forums, flea market etc. I'm not sure but many states stock trout, seems like a forum for trout or salmon would be wise. That way trout posts and pics stay on the same page.
