  1. The Stradic FJs are my favorite and not too expensive.
  2. The Abu Garcia Veritas Winch series 7' Medium would be in your price range. $100
  3. Mono/Fluoro 1. Miller knot 2. San Diego Jam Braid 1. Palomar 2. Miller knot Leader 1. Albright
  4. 3/8 or 1/2 oz. Siebert Brush Jig Black and Blue
  5. Closest BPS is 2.5 hours away so I usually buy from Academy. I buy most of my stuff online at TW
  6. I use hedgehog studios Air BFS which are designed for throwing finesse style lures. They do a phenomenal job.
  7. I have the 7:6 and mainly use it for throwing 3/8 and 1/2 oz jigs and it casts great. Put two of the breaks on and turn the dial to 3 or 4 and your good to go. It has plenty of power to haul fish out of heavy cover and has a great drag when you need it. It will be good for all of the techniques you listed.
  8. Football Jigs: Good for fishing rock and clean bottom without grass or other structure. When not to fish: around grass or timber Casting Jigs: Use these when you are fishing around brush. These jigs are much better than football jigs at coming through wood. Casting jigs are also easier to fish through grass. Swim jigs: These are great when you are trying to imitate baitfish like shad and bluegill. Swim jigs do well fished along weedlines and around standing structure. Good conditions to throw a swim jig is enough wind to create chop on the water and overcast. If you want high quality jigs that you can get cheaper than mass produced check out siebertoutdoors.com.
  9. x2 on *** Omens. Go with a 7'1 Medium if you aren't going to be in heavy cover or a 7'1 MH if you plan on fishing structure. The 7'1 MH is very versatile so if you're looking for one rod for a lot of different techniques I would suggest it. You can't beat these rods for 100 bucks
