  1. I had this same problem! I needed one more of then to finish of my box. Walmart has them ever now and then. It was random that I just popped in and they had 1 left
  2. I did this to! Same thing as you. When I was learning out to fish a bait caster launched a cast out on a square bill crank bait. It was just sitting there under a tree and I was half way through undoing the backlash and then BAM! So I reeled him in, throw him back and fixed the back lash. Funny how you catch them not even trying
  3. No you pay extra for hooks!
  4. Quantum KVD Tour crankbait rods are great. I have one has great back bone and tip is moderate. I really like it. $149.99
  5. When you are down on your luck, weather isn't the greatest and you are about to give up what is the lure/plastic you go to? I know a lot of guys say plastics work great and are a must have, for me it's all about the square bill! When I'm about to head in I do a shore line or about 30 cast with a square bill to see if I can bring something up and keep me in the game for a little longer. So Whats your go to lure/plastic? Cotton Cordell Size 4 Pearl/Red
  6. Lipless crankbaits and jerk baits. Hoping to change that this year, so I hope...
  7. The shimano Crucial (CRCX77MHA) is $169.00 but the is designed for what you are looking for. It is a little longer at 7'7" but close to where you want to be. There is the link. Check it out. I would also get a high speed (7.0:1) reel to bring the bait in quicker. http://www.basspro.com/Shimano-Crucial-Casting-Rod-CRCX77MHA/product/1110040501174/
  8. Thanks I just called pinnacle and they said the reels are not compatible so it looks like it's done. They were out kind of rude if you asked me. So they said because they don't make the reel anymore they would give me a rebate to purchase another reel but it has to be for another spinning reel. I would have gotten a bait castor but I can't and I don't think they make left handed bait castors anyways.
  9. Hey everyone! My Dad has a Deadbolt limited DLF30 and the oscillating gear wore out. He has had it forever and fishing a lot with very little maintenance so I'm not surprised but he loves this reel. I went to pinnacle's website to see if i could get a parts layout but they don't make the DLF30 anymore. I see they make a Ting Deadbolt but it looks a lot different on the inside and I don't think the parts are the same size (it does say "Tiny"). I was looking at the Matrix spinning reel and they make a 30 could I use the oscillating gear from that? Here is the chart for the Matrix I need part #46 http://www.pinnaclefishing.com/shop/reel_schematics/MX25-40.pdf Here is the picture of it. The spool is different but same reel. Any help would be great! I would love to get this reel up and running by the time the ice is off the water!!! (3 weeks to a month!)
  10. I got a big box of kids lures (crank baits both types and lip less and jigs) for like 50 bucks. I would recommend buying them individually because then u can choose colors and what not. In the box you only get the blue and yellow cool
  11. I used both of your advice and the magic worked! lol I'm just playing. Thanks QUAKEnSHAKE!
  12. What did you make the lures out of?
  13. Hey does anyone know how to see the post that you have done and someone has liked it. Thanks, Jeff
  14. KVD square bill cotton cordell size 3
  15. I like to use a floating crank bait. Reel it in until you feel it is touching the bottom or until you feel it rebound off of a rock or stump and let it float up until it almost hits the surface then repeat. The fish will hit it on the float up.
  16. thank you for only being here for a week and a half i have already learned so much
  17. I just got the 150 just from unboxing this thing is amazing smooth, light weight and strong. Magnetic bail works great to. I would recommend it forsure
  18. Really my mac didn't pick anything up. What did you use to find it?
  19. Here ya go! Just find the small x's not the big ones in white to exit the ads. http://cricfree.tv/espn2-live-stream.php
  20. Sorry jumped the gun a little the recap is tomorrow and I found a live stream! If you are interested I'll post the link
  21. Kevin Van Dam - His knowledge is unbelievable and he shares it Gerald Swindle - He is hilarious and has some tough breaks but keeps on battling brandon palinuk - He is a young guy has lots of heart and keeps battling at the DQ to come back and win the next tourney
  22. Hey everyone sorry if this is in the wrong thread but the Bassmaster classic recap is on ESPN 2 does anyone know where I could stream ESPN 2 on the internet?! Desperate because I missed it!
  23. I'm looking at a shimano Crucial (CRCX77MHA) rod 7'7" Med/Hvy with a x-fast action. The rod is made for 30-65 lbs line. This rod I will use for slop fishing and frog fishing until I can separate the two but I might just buy the same rod or a little small if I really like it. As for reels anything in the 7.0:1 gears is good. I'm looking at the Quantum Smoke bait baster as I have the spinning reel and really like it. For line I'm going to Power Pro Vermillion 65 lbs. I'll see how the set up works this summer!

I just bought a few crank baits that have the front hook is red and the back is just a normal. I don't know if it will work better then just regular hooks but I will let you know once the ice is gone
  25. I have used both and they work about the same, the only problem I have with the 2 piece is the top half moves either disconnects if you don't really push the two together or the guides don't align and I just have to align them. Not huge problems but they are just a pain
