  1. At 7:00 minutes when he rips it out off something is his drag set really loose and he uses his thumb for drag?
  2. this one to be specific
  3. Hey does anyone know what kind of what Dave Mercer has?
  4. Thanks now I just need to see if they ship to Canada
  5. Yup I'm aware of that I'm just saying I can't find it in left. But I know that some of the other higher priced left reels comes in 7.1:1. The body's look the same as the BB1 so I was hoping that the gears are interchangeable.
  6. I can't seem to find the BB1 in that gear ratio in left handed (they make the right handed in 7.1:1 but I can't find it in left). I see that they make a Wide spool one which I am considering picking up. But I have the option to pick up a BB1 for a great price so depending on how much the gears cost it would be cost effective (maybe) to do it that way.
  7. Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone can give me a website/link that will get me to some Lew's replace gears. I'm looking to swap out Lew's BB1 Speed Spool Casting Reel. Left Hand 5.1:1 to a 7.1:1. Any help would be great. Jeff
  8. thanks I tried that, it's not very up to date to say the least...
  9. Hey everyone, I live near Toronto and was just wondering if you guys know where some Lew's dealers are. I go to Gagnon right now but I thought I would see if I could pick one up from another place and maybe get a lower price. Any help would be great! Jeff
  10. Great thanks for the advice. I usually like to put a weight on the end of the line and let it all out behind the boat while its moving and reel it back in. Would this correct if I were to reel it on backwards.
  11. Hey everyone I have 10lb flouro on my drop shot rod and it worked last year but I would like to go smaller this year (6-8Lb). I am also buying a new baitcaster and I would like to put 10lb fluoro on it, can i just spool it from one reel to the other or am I better off getting new 10lb with the 6-8lb I buy. Let me know, line isn't that expense but if I could but another lure or weights or whatever I much rather do that. Jeff
  12. Hey everyone, Gagnon sports in Oshawa Ontario is having their spring tent event (or whatever you want to call it). They have some great deals on rods and reels as well as some gear. The link below goes to the event web page. Check it out if you are in the area, I know I am picking up some gear! http://www.gagnonsports.com/yardsale2015.html Jeff
  13. I use Fluoro #12. I find it get good deep and castability with it and I haven't lost a fish yet because of line breakage... Only if I new how to tie knots properly at the start!

I cry a little on the inside when I buy the LiveTarget lures, if I bought this I would be in the fetal position for a while lol. But I hope you get a monster on it!
  15. Hey everyone, I just got a new Lowrance unit and I am looking for some different mounting set ups. I'm looking to mount it up at the bow of the boat, so I was just curious how you guys have it set up. Next year I will be looking at get another Lowrance for the console so if you have a picture of that set up that would be great for future reference. I am currently running an aluminum Legend but I figure you can use the same mounts as the fiberglass boat other then the flush mount. Thanks! Jeff
  16. I like white/pearl. Could be because I throw it so much or I feel confident with!
  17. check out Lew's. Great reels and with that price range you can pick up some of the higher end gear.
  18. Hey did you end up picking up any of these weights?
  19. I believe you don't have the downscan imaging with the Broadband, you would only have the GPS and Sonar.
  20. That's true. I guys I could just throw two regular washers on either side of it and just clamp it down tight.
  21. Hey everyone, I'm going to build my own clamp for my transducer on my trolling motor. Does anyone know where I can pick up or order some Ratchet Washers so I can lock the transducer in place. I have a lowrance unit, if that helps. Thanks, Jeff
