  1. Mine is a "Well, Duh, Dummy" answer but I was pleasantly surprised by Green Pumpkin Senkos. For YEARS I thought they wouldn't work because they were the "same color as the water" I fished. Yeah...not so much...lol
  2. Yep. I don't backlash very often anymore but occasionally I'll throw a frog straight into a close tree trunk. HELLUVA mess. This fixes it every time.
  3. I fish alone and prefer it that way. That is my time when I need to disconnect from the world. No talking (unless I'm mumbling to myself), no phone, no distractions. The lake I fish is small and full of stumps and laydowns so no pleasure boaters. On a nice spring or summer morning, it is usually dead quiet except for nature. It's paradise for me
  4. Ok,,,now THIS is funny
  5. ^^^and MoBasser don't stutter^^^
  6. I don't look at "second-guessing" myself as being a bad thing...whether in fishing or just in life. You can get to "paralysis by analysis" which isn't good but thinking about different ways of doing something only means you are trying to better your skills. Think about all the "know it alls" you know.....Aren't most of them idiots?
  7. Hang on, Hang on.........What is THIS? Me likey!
  8. Shows you how much I know...lol
  9. I have no opinion on DC reels other than I am old enough to think..."Batteries in a fishing reel? LOL....no thanks"
  10. I hate those darn things. My sausage fingers coupled with increasingly poor eyesight make those useless to me.
  11. Really? Not one person asks the obvious question? *Sigh*...Guess it's up to me.....What the hell is "Booshi?"
  12. Lol...special dispensation for you folks up north that have to deal with the mouth full of teeth you get to play with. Those are not really big issues down here in Missouri
  13. Of all the info you get here, THIS is probably the most valuable. I can't begin to guess how many new frogger's have bought this thing because of those silly "lifelike" legs. Get a ScumFrog or a Pad Crasher or a Spro and you'll be fine. I have and like all 3. Frogging takes a LOT of practice (It's all about timing) and will frustrate the heck outta you for awhile. If you hookup 3 outta 10 at first, you'll be doing ok. I'm an avid frogger but hooked up JUUUST enough to keep me interested when I first started.
  14. I do know something the Trashmaster is very, VERY bad at.......rip rap. Want to lose your TM? Throw it in some rip rap. It will get hopelessly wedged
  15. The Trashmaster isn't a swing jig
  16. Frontier Sports and Convenience Store on HWY 38 in Marcell Minnesota. Out in the middle of nowhere in the Chippewa National Forest. Used to go up there every year and always loved going to Frontier. The Manager (since retired) was a great dude and taught me a lot about a fishing in Minnesota. He got a LOT of money outta me, too. Not the biggest or the best but I sure loved going in there when I was up there. Was also gonna say this. Last time I was in there, it was pitiful. I mean, Pandemic and all but it was BAD and made me sad. I think the best tackle shop in KC that I know of is that dude over in Smithville that sells stuff out of his garage
  17. I'll use a senko until there ain't no more to use.
  18. Yet another reason I like Missouri. The rules are simple, straight forward, and easy to follow but they ARE taken seriously. The fees are low and the MODOC does an outstanding job of managing the public lands. All of the fishermen I know around here have a good relationship with our local office and officers (myself included) and wouldn't hesitate to call them on some idiot egregiously breaking the rules.
  19. Sunglasses, hat, sunblock, needlenose pliers, sidecutters, coffee, pipe/tobacco. I suppose I need a rod/reel and at least one Senko
  20. My "data" is across the street from my house where all the neighborhood kids congregate in the morning to get on the multiple busses that pick them up to take them to school.
  21. For a part of the year, yes, but last week the kids were going in the light. Now they are in the dark again with the time change last Sunday. I get it and understand the reason why it's so popular and I'm not critical of anyone that thinks differently than I do. I just worry about the kids more than I do an "extra" hour of daylight at the end of the day. I'm also the type of person that does not need an alarm to get up early and it makes no difference whether it's DST or not. The world would be better with fewer clocks
  22. DST causes kids to be wandering around in the dark in the mornings waiting for the bus or walking to school. I don't care if every adult in the world likes DST, if it causes one extra kid to get hit by a car because of it, it isn't worth it. I vote to do away with it. Want "more" daylight? Get up earlier.
  23. Because I can't fly.
  24. Bass Pro is no longer a store that sells Fishing gear. They are a tourist destination and that seems to be really all they care about. I can't hardly stand to go in one because I hate being hounded about vacations
  25. I don't think I have ever taken a picture of a fish I've caught. I have taken landscape photos and pictures of other wildlife at the little lake I fish. It's my happy place and and sometimes I'll look at those pics in the dead of winter to cheer me up. Most of the time, I don't even have my phone with me on the water. Fishing is a very personal thing for me. I actually couldn't care less if people need some sort of visual "proof" of my fishing adventures. I don't care enough about the opinions of other people to have to lie about things. I've caught big fish. I've caught little fish. I've been skunked. I've had great days. All of them are in my memory banks. Here's a creek channel I was pretty far back in. Good froggin, that day casting at the little stump you see over by the far bank.
