I didn't see this in any of the advice so I'll throw this in.....Go when it's quiet. If you get in a line with a bunch of others standing there waiting and watching, you are waaaay more likely to make a mistake or forget something. I sure as heck would.

I don't understand this fascination with making hollow body frogs walk the dog. I don't know where you guys throw yours, but I throw mine in the absolute muck and I sure as heck ain't worried about making it do tricks. I HATE the action of the Scumfrog dogwalker they have out now. If I'm walking, it's in open water with something that rattles and makes a ton of noise. Do you really throw hollow bodies in open water?

I'd drop dead rig a 9" Fat Max in Pumpkin Seed and start working it.

Out at one of my local haunts tonight dragging a Booyah Pad Crasher through the slop. Twitch, twitch...slow retrieve....stop...twitch...when I heard the unmistakable "toilet flush" of a HUGE bass suck it down. I played it perfectly. Gave it a 2 count and tried to break her neck. SOLID hookup. Was throwing my Pro Qualifier with the drag turned all the way up to 10. She started swimming away from me like it wasn't even there. I kept the pressure on her when she suddenly about faced and came straight at me. It caught me off off guard for a second and as soon as she felt that slack she came straight up out of the water. She was beautiful and would have beaten my PB (9.3) by at least a lb...maybe 2. She got completely out of the water.....and spit the hook. ...and somewhere....the Gods laughed. I'm coming for you ol' girl. I know you're in there now. You will be mine..(for a minute or 2 until I put you back!) That's my tale of woe. Let's hear yours

It's the only Koppers I have. I'm mostly a Scumfrog Trophy series man but I was tearing them up on the Live target today. Actually, I think I could have drug just about anything over the muck and slayed them today. It was unbelievable. I don't think ANY of my frogs survived unscathed.

Had to cut the barbs off a Koppers frog today to release a nice bass I pulled out of the slop. Anyone know where I can get a replacement twin hook set for one of these? Body is still fine...seems like a waste to throw it away.

Frogs in the flooded bank weeds, H&H Spinners on the weed line and Culprit Fat Max's on a VMC Drop Dead rig around structure. Got my PB on a Scumfrog trophy series (Natural Black/Green) yesterday. For all the rain we've had, the fishing has been pretty decent.

Favorite? A ringed Curly tail worm made by a small maker here in Missouri. I probably have more Havoc Pit Boss than anything, though. Great baits, work well and are cheap. Got a ton of senko's, too.

This! Every year I go through the same learning curve. We train ourselves to be lighting fast with the hookset and this doesn't work with hollow body frogs. That 1-2 second pause is crucial and SOOOOOO hard to do. I also recommend braid and a stiiffer rod. Once you do bring one in...you'll get it.
