Headed that way for the next 3 days !!

Fished lowes and negreet today. Finished up with 14 all caught flipping bushes in 2 to 3 feet of water. Thicker the bush the better. Bigger fish came in point bushes. Be back next week !!

Fished this weekend the San miguel and 1215 area. TOUGH !!!! Only managed 8 fish all weekend. I guess the fresh water has them in a funk. All bites came flipping in 2 to 3 feet of water around the bushes. On the up side 3 were around 5lbs. Looks like more rain on the way.

Headed to the camp this weekend !! I haven't been in a couple on months. Gonna fish the 1215 area and San Miguel area. I just got word of a good report but no details yet !! I'll give more info when I find out. Good luck to all this weekend.

Ronnie, I caught 20 or so this weekend on drops from 10 to 20 feet on texas rig and drop shot finesse worms. Junebug. No big ones just fun!! Most fish we in the 10 to 12 feet range close to deep water.

Fished yesterday for only a couple of hrs. Caught a couple of nice ones to 5lbs in the pads on a white swim jig. I didn't see anything that would indicate that the turnover has started. The water was still fairly clear.

Had a very productive afternoon yesterday . Caught a couple here and there deep on drop shots and Carolina rigs. Then found a spot stacked with feeding bass found on my electronics. Managed about 20 or so all on cranks in about 12 to 15 fow on the edge of a flat. All were good solid fish up to 4lbs. Best if all got my dad in on the action !!!!

No wind and hot was tough on the bite for me. The deep fish I had been catching we're not as bunched up. Only managed 6 or 7 all on drop shots. Time to explore some more areas.

Headed down Thursday afternoon for some action also. Will be fishing the San Miguel area . Good luck to all !!!!!

Had a pretty fun couple if days fishing on the bend all fish caught on football jigs and spoons. All in San Miguel . Got my daughter on more white bass than she could handle. She is hooked !!!!! I love deep summer time bass on the bend.

I hate I missed it but I was out of town !! I really wanted to meet some of the great guys on this forum. Headed down for the next couple of days .

Fished mouth of palo goncho and lowes. Punched in lowes before dark and fished the long ridge in the mouth of palo after dark. Should have fished later last night because today was tough with only 10 little ones.

Did pretty well last night on ridges with grass on worms biggest 71/2. Caught prob. 15 or so before 11.

Headed to the bend tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday for some offshore fishing !!! MAINLAKE !!! Have they been grouping up yet ??

Got to fish a little so far this weekend while at the camp caught a few few shallow early , with one nice one at 8-12 on a frog !!!! One hell of an explosion .

I'll be down at the camp this weekend !! I'm gonna have to try and get in on some of that action. I have a feeling all my time will be spent on brim with my girls. May have to slip out and do a little after dark fishing !!

Gonna wish we had this weather in a month or so !!! I hope the summer temps take it easy on us this year, although I'm ready for some offshore fishing !!!!

Ronnie F, I'm the opposite way from you toward the big lake. I'm not in the pocket right by the launch but the first pier after you leave going west. Right beside the house that just finished the new sea wall .

Just didn't know if grass would grow as deep up north. I would follow the lighter area marked 12 ft contour line and look for points and the side of drains. Looking for grass edges. Am I even on the right track? I guess timber would come more into play up north because grass is not as abundant . I wish it would come back like it was in the late 80's !!!!

Thanks Bosk, I'm gonna have to explore that area. I just bought a camp a couple hundred yards from where 1215 enters the lake. That would be a close spot !!!

Catt are you referring to the ridges at the mouth of San Miguel around the island? Would the 12 foot contour On the map be a good place to start in this area? I know you like the 15 to 17 contour line but it's not as deep up north.
