I'm leaving for Cuba in a few days, and will be doing some fishing while I am there. Mainly flats fishing for snapper and barracuda, but I might try for Tarpon or Jacks. Water is around 1-8 feet, and quite clear. Any tips on lures, locations, or anything else would be greatly appreciated, as I have no idea where to start. Thanks guys

Great Lake brown trout take on a more silver colouring, whereas river browns have the more typical orange/black patterning. It could also be a member of the seeforellen strain of browns, which are typically more silver than the German Browns. One way to tell the difference by looking at th teeth of the fish. Browns will have teeth on the roof of their mouth that are in a staggered, zigzag pattern, whereas Atlantics have their teeth in a straight line on the roof of their mouth. Nice fish regardless!

Nothing better than chucking spoons on the lake at night. My hardest hit would probably be a 13lb hen steelhead I caught in November in a tiny creek. Chased my spinner up and smashed it right at my feet.

That last fish looks like a farmed rainbow..
