Buzzbaits - I always seem to do better on a prop bait than with a buzzbait. Frogs - 100% hookup ratio, just don't get many strikes. Kinda surprised at the jerkbait responses, they seem to work really well for me.

I have been enjoying a10.5 foot ML Avid steelhead rod with a Stradic 3000FJ, as well as a 6'8'' LTB with a Chronarch 50E.

My favriot rod brand is St Croix, and my favriot reel brand is Shimano. For hard baits, I like Rapala, and for soft plastics I like Berkley.

I use a 6 gear spinning reel, 20b braid and an 8.5 foot steelhead rod for deep cranks. The reel has a fairly high IPT.

I use 30lb braid with a mono leader.

Most toothy fish will slice right through braid, but if you must use straight braid, Sufix 932 is super tough.
