  1. I strongly agree ww2, people pick up a rod in the store and judge it right there, tags, theft thingy and no reel. Terrible, then i go on the internet and see someone complaining that they went to the store, was going to buy this rod but they picked it up and it was tip heavy and bla bla bla.
  2. I normally used seaguar Fluoro but last year, borrowed yo zuri 12# and it worked great. I now use Yo zuri and love it! Going to take a step down and try 10# this year.
  3. Good job, tis the season indeed, just wish i didnt have to buy gifts for people and just buy more gear for myself lol
  4. I have a carbonlite 7' MH that I love, gets a lot of use and handles everything I throw at it. I never tried the bucco but have held it and seems like a nice rod as well, would like to try one.
  5. All this advice is good! My personal preference, 7'-7'2" MH/F, I have used it in open water to heavy slop and never had a problem, but I do agree that if you fish very heavy cover, Heavy rod will have more power to rip them bad boys out of there, but I tend to just always use MH anyways lol
  6. Im bored, i might try that other location and see if anything else peakks my interest, so happy i got that crucial for 42, I might scoop something else up lol.
  7. Thats what I really wanted, but they only had MH/F instead of the M/XF
  8. I went up to the girl and was like, "Weird question, even though theres a price on here can you just scan it for me and let me know what it says?" She looks at me funny, laughs and was like "Ok!", then while she has a surprised look on her face then says the price and im like, " Sweeeeet!!! Thank you!" Their selection was only 6'8" MH/F and 7'2" MH/XF Worm & Jig, bunch of each, another dicks location by me had the 7' MH Crank Rod, I have a 3rd Dicks near me but its a smaller one and I did not check if they had any. They probably dont but you never know. I guess im lucky to have 3 within good distance from me. Thanks for letting us know!
  9. Well, I too, went to Dicks today after work and scored the crucial 6'8" MH/F worm/jig rod! Its snowing here and im buying rods, for 45 after tax, can you seriously turn that down? No way!!!
  10. I own the smallmouth version and love it, I wonder what people are feeling about these new ones that are replacing the smallmouth ones? Has anyone checked them out, any reviews? I did a search on here and google and found a few things but not much yet, would like to hear from people what they think. Thank you!
  11. I find it more comfortable for myself using left hand retrieve even though im right handed. Especially on baits that need movement like spooks or jerkbaits.
  12. Braid-Sufix performance braid Fluoro-Seaguar Mono-Trilene(red box) Copoly-Yo zuri
  13. depending one the senko your using size/weight but most use 6'6"-7' M-MH Fast action
  14. I use kvd line stuff, so that def helps out.
  15. I recently had to de-spool my crankin stick of the seaguar abrazx that i had on there because it was old and because i only had half spool left on my reel. Problem is, i didnt have more to replace it with at the moment. My cousin has yo zuri hybrid in 12lb test, so he let me spool my rod with it and try it out. I have got to say this line for the price is amazing. I literally beat the crap out of it and still holds strong. Casts smooth, can feel all i need to feel and its strong as heck. In the near future i plan on picking up some 10lb line in the same line and give that ago. Although I still love my seaguar fluoro, this stuff is just tuff to beat for the price and the amount of line you get. I have also tested topwater fishing on the same rod just to see how it did and honestly works just fine. I have a topwater rod setup with mono and will probably leave that alone for now because i still like that setup, but if im ever in a hurry and need to respool and theirs yozuri around, i have no problem using it! Great stuff and if you have not tried this line, you should.
  16. you will like the ride x, very sweet yak! My cousin and i both own the tarpon 120's and he just picked up a ride x last week!! love wilderness
  17. I love dealing with pure fishing, had an abu garcia villain that was messed up, they sent me a new one with process fee, same deal, love it. Biggest part of the reason why i bought a fenwick elite tech smallmouth
  18. Im on my 4th year with my 7'M crankin stick, i have no problems losing fish, if your wondering about strength, ive caught tiger muskie on this same rod, I use this rod more than my other rods by a lot and it still looks almost new, i can cast anything with this rod and the load is smooth and perfect, my casting distance is amazing. Im not too sure about the other rod because ive never used it so i cant say anything about that. Crankin stick is amazing and feel everyone should own one, just my opinion.
  19. I have 8lb on my finesse rod, not bad, i havent had any problem with it, but I do prefer abrazx/invizx!
  20. awesome, thanks for the tips, this is a technique that im going to try a lot this year as i normally never do it so all tips help. I know how to flip, just using the right size terminal is what i have been worried about!
  21. I will be rigging devil spears 4 inch and pit boss for flippin this year and want to use the vmc hooks but not quite sure which size would be versatile? I was think 4? What do you guys think, i have heard vmc run a size small than normal?
  22. Wilderness Systems Ride, either 115 or 135 which ever one you prefer!! In my picture im in a Tarpon 120, best purchase ive ever made for fishing!! Its stable, fast, tracks well and just flat out designed awesome! I stood up on it but if im gonna stand, i would rather be on a boat, im not at no dissadvantage sitting on my kayak! Good luck on your purchase!
  23. I dont really have a preferance, I dont finesse much but I have done both mono and fluoro. I see the advantage of both sides. Slower sink rate and possibly better action on fall with mono, but more sensitivity and less line visibilty with fluoro. Hmmmm, my finesse rod, I have a abu orra sx30 with 2 spools, one with half 20lb braid/ half 8lb fluoro, the other spool with straight 8lb mono. I will have to test out the difference this year!
