  1. anyone still use excaliburs?
  2. I never fished the Susqy very much but I fished teh Juniata that flows into it quite a bit.Tubes are along the right line of thinking from my experience. My favorite color was smoke purple fleck.I also did well on small crawdad color crankbaits such as a rebel craw or small fat rap.If the water gets high and muddy till then I always liked to throw a big chartreuse spinnerbait with large chartreuse colorado blades. You should probably have posted this under the northeast forum.Good luck.
  3. I use the pool but your idea sounds cool because you could get a side view that way.
  4. Largemouth and suwannee bass now. Occasionally I make the trek back home to PA and fish smallies.
  5. Yeah fella you're nuts. And to help you deal with your problem I can only offer to dispose of your fishing stuff for you.Send it to me and I will dispose of it properly.I wouldn't want to see you go over the edge.
  6. Yeah that's what I meant,lol.
  7. so the answer is bass are ovoviviparous
  8. I've faired pretty well with bomber fat free shads 5 bucks at BPS.Also rapalas(available at most wal-marts).Manns are good too but my limited experience with the frenzy is they never caught anything for me and the paint wore off really quick. So pretty much cankbaits are like most things, you get what you pay for.
  9. 1)New Pb 2)catch bass on a c-rig(deep water structure) 3)get better at positioning boat while fishing 4)fish as often as possible 5)be more patient ................6)woulda been catch a fish on rattle trap but fortunately I got that one out of the way in January.
  10. I'll start off throwing spinnerbaits and traps, but if I see a spot that looks pretty bassy I'll slow down and fish it with plastic as well.
  11. I bought a pair of solar bats for around $15 bucks at wally world. You can see through the water great but I also have electrical tape holding both the arms on now as they broke easily.I figure it won't be long till I accidenatlly drop them in like the last 50 pairs I've lost, lol.

  16. I don't know about you RW but some days for me any fish'll do,lol. ;D
  17. I mostly fish the original rattle trap and rapalas. This is probably because they are the most readily available.(the local wally world stocks 'em)
  18. Dad looks a little chilly.Nice fish,fellas.
  19. Gotcha now thanks.
  20. I haven't seen them in so long I thought they quit making them.I have 2 or 3 that are about 10 years old.I have had good luck on them and they don't get hung up.I think I replaced the trebles with excalibur treble hooks over time.If you know where to get some pm me a link.Thanks.
  21. I'd like to hear how some of you fish a plastic jerkbait(fluke,slug-go,etc.)Basically just how do you rig yours and retrieve it.Just looking for something I haven't tried or thought of yet.Thanks.
  22. I seem to recall a thread similar to this some time ago and there were at least three people that had caught a body.Me I only caught a pair of hunting boots. On separate casts. Thank goodness the guy wasn't still in them. ;D
  23. In Bassin' mag's top 50 the senko was numero uno.
