So my trailer blew the spindle and tire fell off etc after repacked bearings say 500 miles on them, and ruined the trailer. Had to flat bed it home. So with no trailer and funds tied up in buying a house I had to sit and wait, so I covered it, and planned on finally winterizing it 2 weeks later after my vacation. No freezing Temps yet, thank god. So heres the catch. A small but robust log somehow ended up on my cover and left a divet, this in turn made it fill with water. And at some point it burst......a lovely plastic bait bag and some other random object clogged the drain plug hole. My boat had easily 2 feet of water in it, drained for 15 minutes non stop,enough to almost cover the batteries and submerge my dual pro 10 amp 3 bank charger(supposed go be waterproof), my tackle storage stayed dry, but my rod locker was full of watee =( i turned the bilge on to speed up the draining and it turned on, and the master switch worked. My boat doesn't have an auto bilge. 1990 nitro 175 tf. What am I looking at for damage? BTW this is a repost from the electronics forum.

Not too familiar with them, I heard this is the year they went to all composite. 200 evinrude vindicater? Looks sharp double axle trailor. Any thought or opinions ?

So I've been doing a lot of fishing on Cayuga lately, and Erie. I only caught 3 2lbsers on eerie for my tourney and only 3 on Cayuga for 7lbs. Cayuga practice 3as awesome even landing my personal best of almost 7lbs. But, the stretch I found these fish on 3 days before got bombarded the day of the tournament, me being the last boat out there were 5 people all dangling wacky senkos, and drop shots on my outside weedline. Guy cut me off and by about 300 yards and watched him find a school of about 15 2lbsers and just destroy my area, it was real frustrating, then a pleasure boater broke down and asked if of tow him around the point, turns out it was the other point 5 miles down.... and Erie my 18 foot nitro was a nightmare on Erie for practice with 7 footers, broke my front graph right off, i do owe Jfrancho, for help on onieda. Just can't catch a brake this season. Lol but I wouldn't trade it for the world !! So now my season is over finishing 30th out of 60 for AOY. Now it's fun time fall fishing !!!! If anyone wants to get together in the upstate area, let me know !!! (Coneus, Honeoye, Cayuga, Seneca, etc hell maybe Oneida again.)

Making a weekend trip to the thousand islands at Ogdensburg. Any tips and good areas ? Never fished it either, closest I've been is chaumont bay/Henderson harbour.

Fishing in lake Erie, Ontario, Seneca, Cayuga, and Onieda, yeah there are days where it aint worth breaking the equipment, Onieda scared me back a month or 2 ago with 6 footers, my bilge barely kept up on my 18 foot boat.

I think it varies, I know my f250 calls for 115-125 foot lbs and my v6 mustang was 105 8 lug vs 5 lug so my 5 lug trailer I kept it to 100, smaller tire, less stress on it I think.

I have a 1990 175tf the 3rd hole is your live well overfill hole...check to make sure the hoses on the back of the live wells are still connected, mine fell off and sat below the water line and started dumping water in. There's also a T where they combine, check those fittings as well. Also I have 2 switches for each live well,the 2 screened holes that identical are for each pump to fill, and recirculate.

I brought the whole trailer in, but was leaving for a tournament that afternoon on Erie. Otherwise I'd just bring in the tires. I watched the guy just throw them on after mounted and balancing and he just tightened them with the impact gun and said I was done, I asked if he could just check the torque on them, they were tight to about 100 foot lbs. And away I went....read checked them at Erie with a simple tire iron to make sure they were good.

I got this as a 3 bank, love it!

I use to run a manual switch on my old boat, when I start the motor open the battery compartment and flip a switch that linked both bstteries. Course this was a 454 I/O.....

Anyone fish Erie yet?

I fished Conesus for a tourney and got had a TM problems and only landed 3 keepers with 5 bites. 2 on a swimbait, 1 on a jig flipping weeds, you need to help me with Conesus !! Haha

It was on a battery tender.

Gotchya, I'm picking up a Napa gold series dual purpose 27 series marine battery for the cranking and electronics. The TM has its own battery which is also a 27 series dual purpose.

I have two batteries, one for my tm, and one for my electronics/cranking, another thing I noted was every great once in a while my graph will freeze up and fuzz out when I start the engine. I topped off with distilled water and put a good charge, samething. Should I run another battery for my cranking battery? I have a one year old 27 or 24 series ever start battery for my cranking battery, I charge it and holds at about 12 volts and after 4 hours of running the live wells and fish finders, starting and motor trim I get low voltage warnings at 11 to 10.5 volts. Is the battery bad or do I need a new one? It was on a tender all winter. The motor charges the battery while running 14-16 volts based on rpms. But the battery still dies even when charged on a battery charger for 4 hours. 10 amp charger.

Went to Canandaigua lake Tuesday and killed them! All seem to be super shallow, and normally Canandaigua is a poor bass fishing lake. Water was around 48 degrees. Good Ole jig and Colorado blade spinnerbait.

My nitro doesn't have a recirculation pump it's a 1990 basically I just keep pulling fresh water in. What I did though is buy a three way valve and and switches to enable recirculation. Basically I have a fill, and recirculation and a gravity drain. Just run it on a timer. Before the valves I just ran a plug in the drain. And reconfigured the valves so when I filled I put the plug in. Then switch the valve and remove the plug to recirculate.
