Which is more important...The rod or reel? Just looking for thoughts and opinions! Able to purchase part of my new baitcastingreel combo next week.

Reasons? I've never owned a chronarch , a local sporting good store still has a couple E.series in stock Reasons? Just curious

Picking up a new baitcaster soon...Looking for a low profile hard use reel...It will be used for mostly Indiana and Colorado blade spinnerbaits (also some willow), topwaters (jointed jitterbugs etc), and chatterbaits.....Looking at the Revo Winch gen3 , Quantum Smoke HD, and an E series chronarch.....Thoughts? Suggestions on the reels listed? Others?

Looking for info on long term Lews durability... The baitcaster more specifically..... Lews users, how many seasons have you had your reels? Any issues? Etc?

Its been awhile since I've owned a bait caster, and now I've decided to switch back again. I recently received a brand new Curado 200I from bassproshops and upon taking it out of the package, I noticed the spool would engage/turn when I turned the handle. After loosening the spool tension a bit and tightening the drag, it appears to work fine? Is this normal/common?

Yeah it seems some people do fine with it, some don't

It's been a family tradition to go here every summer, but it's been impossible for me to get there the last few years because of work.....my largest smallmouth and largemouth bass have come from this lake , the smallmouth was 21in+.... My first, and only haha, Muskie came from lake Chautauqua as well....definitely anxious to spend what will be a solid four days of fishing there!

What line and what pound test do you guys recommend for a spinnerbait/chatter bait set up - and maybe the occasional topwater? Looks like I might have room for another rod on an upcoming fishing trip.

Should I return the yo zuri and go with something else?

Trying to find a lower stretch mono or do poly....might have to go back to suffix elite if I can't find something I like. Possibly Trilene Sensation?

Recently purchased some Yo Zuri Hybrid from TW. 20lb for the Tatula, and bought some 10lb for my Stradic.....my question is how does Hybrid handle on spinning reels? I've heard mixed opinions. I has also purchased some kvd line conditioner , hopefully it will help with any issues?

My biggest bass was a 21in smallmouth on a jointed black jitterbug - if I'm fishing at night a black jitterbug is a must.

Going on a fishing trip in New York (Chautauqua Lake) during the first week of June - any essential June bass lures I should make sure I have? Essential colors?

I think Denali makes one of their Jadewood series spinning rods in a medium power/moderate action.

Yes I do use casting gear, actually prefer it for most things - have one of the Tatula casting rods on the way to go with my Tatula reel. I like spinning gear too. Im currently re-doing all my rod/reel combos - the carbonlite will be paired with a stradic - was curious about the rod because the action was a little different than I was expecting.

Just got one in the mail and am trying to decide what i should use it for - thinking jigs, worms, etc? Action actually seems a little softer than I was expecting. Anyone else own this model - how does it fish (I won't get to take mine out for a few weeks yet)? It certainly looks good!

Also considering p line cxx and suffix elite for mono lines......is there a fluoro that seems to work better than other on spinning gear?

Was looking at the same reels, but went with the tatula, can be had for around $105 - $110 on ebay or amazon...price was a deciding factor for me.

I am actually considering this line, I had used it a while back and done well with it.....I take it you've had a good experience with it?

Looking for line suggestions for two of my combos....only taking two for an upcoming fishing trip, but I should have most situations covered to an extent, one spinning combo, one baitcasting. I could be throwing a little bit of everything so I'm looking for a good all around line for each of the combos. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Used to have an XML, but sold it a couple years ago - I regret it everyday! I have used a Cabelas Pro guide spinning rod as well, one of their cheaper lines, and liked that one as well. Have also used a couple bass pro rods and had good luck with them , and actually have one of the BPS Carbonlite rods coming in the mail.
