  1. Is that the power versatile or the slow cranking?
  2. You and I both know that you will go to a store that has one. You and I both know that you will ask to try it out. You and I both know that you will succumb to the monkey...
  3. TW has them on preorder at 550-570 on the 100, and 200 model respectively; so same as the MRSP in Japan.
  4. Did you get a chance to see the new conquest?
  5. I like the versatility that Megabass FX60 Knuckle brings to the squarebill game; it's really nice to be able to switch from diver to a wakebait with one click. The adjustable lip system does cause some problem, since it is more prone to having grass/line stuck between the opening. I can't say much about LC since I only have one Omori 2.5 and I don't like throwing the bigger squarebills.
  6. Be very wary when buying fishing line off of ebay. A lot of fakes floating around.
  7. Save up another 20 dollar ish and go for Chronarch Ci4+.
  8. Very hard to suggest a reel without a price range.
  9. All of the Revos are made by Doyo Engineering. Abu Garcia does have some places in Sweden that makes the ambassadeurs. I am quite a bit surprised by the pricing points of the Duckett reel, I thought it would be cheaper.
  10. I am always scared of losing my expensive Maui Jims so I got a pair of 20 dollar strike king specifically for fishing. Of course, it is not nearly as good/comfortable as my expensive ones, but it certainly does the job and I'm not scared to lose it.
  11. The most impact that you are going to get out of a jerkbait action wise is the taper of the rod. Crankbait and topwater rods are generally designed to have moderate to moderate fast taper which is what you want for a jerkbait. I would choose the shorter rod since it is much easier to work with without hitting the bank or the side of your boat.
  12. I had some really good sliders and onion straws from Match Box . Really glad we all had enjoyable lunches.

If you keep going down this path...It will eventually lead you there...Dark stuff indeed...xD

The ones on the OP's picture are horribly twisted and rusted out.

You are just entering the world of swimbait fishing if you are surprised by a 80 dollar one my friend
  16. Scorpion is the name of Curado/Chronarch in JDM market pretty much
  17. I am trying to get my first striped bass as well. I will be fishing from shore with a 10 foot cheap okuma elite rod that is rated for 1 to 3 oz lures. Anyone know a good spot around Maryland and what lures I should be using?
  18. Yes, they are really good. Go pick some up!
  19. I really hope they bring the PG series from Japan ^^
  20. You can pretty much set the breaks to have two on and adjust the rest with the outside knob that controls the break case. I have heard that Shimano breaking system are a bit more forgiving than the Daiwa(Never used a Daiwa before), and I can tell you that you can just set it and leave it for most of the part.
  21. I forgot my sunglasses when I went to offshore fishing so I picked up Strike King Sunglasses for around 20 dollars. It has pretty good lenses and frame is tolerable. Plus you won't have to worry about dirtying/losing them since they are only 20 bucks!
  22. That's what happens when you use a line with no stretch. The tension is just too much for the line to handle
  23. You should post some pics!
  24. Absolutely no lubricants nor backlash. I think I figured out one of the problem though, I kind of messed up in the way I tied my arbor knot when I went through the spool instead of around it.
