  1. Oh Man! I'm frothing at the mouth! Can't wait to get to Texas!!!!!! Thanks for the update Matt! HH
  2. Ku, I agree with you also, with water temps in the 30's things can be very slow. This last spring a buddy and I had an awesome bite in 42 degree water. It was one of those warm sunny days like Rolo referred to. The fish were caught shallow along the rocks. Take a look at the link, water temps were low 40's Cold Water Bass HH
  3. RoLo.....I agree with you 100% The water temp "trends" are very important and I watch that closely. HH
  4. Wow Russ, Congrats on the invite, I hope you can swing it! Texas, Georgia and the Bahamas all in one year! HH
  5. Night fishing can be an absolute blast!! I used to do it allot when I worked second shift. A black spinner bait with a single deep cut colorado will get you bit! HH
  6. I would use a guiude hands down, a guide can eliminate a ton of water right out of the box, could prove helpful on a lake the size of Rayburn! HH
  7. Great post LBH.....Great answers! ......I won't know the answer til we hit Forkin March! HH
  8. Ben, I have a very good friend who owns a dealership (for 30 yrs) and I asked him this same question. He told me the exactly same thing you stated! HH
  9. Matt, it says in the artical that this little lake is private, so there wouldn't be thet much pressure except for residents and guests? Man, I'd like to be a guest! HH
  10. Are you talking ice fishing for bass, or other species? HH
  11. LBH makes a very good point with the bathroom issue, I have a set of Frogg Toggs (bibs) and you can't get out HH
  12. I had three distinctive techniques this year that stood above the rest; 1. 1/4 oz Jig - Black-n blue with #11 black or black -n- blue Uncle Josh pork (I know....old school, but hey, if it aint broke, don't fix it) 2. 3/8 oz White double willow spinner bait, with a slow yo-yo retrieve in cold water! Yes very cold water (42degrees!) 3. Rapala DT Series cranks in crawdad color. I have never been a crankbait fisherman, but like many of you I wanted to expand my approach and it paid off more than once this year. HH
  13. 100% agreed with everthing said already.........except for the braid breaking on the rocks part.....without checking your line frequently...yes, over time your braid wiil let you down but, mono in the rocks will fail 10 times quicker than braid.......Just my .02 HH
  14. Hopefully LBH and I will be able to contribute to the program this year!!!! ;D HH
  15. You sure don't see too many of these around.....97 18' Sea Ark w/90hp....Just about right for Iowa Lakes I went to Texas to get it HH
