Toledo Bend, What To Expect?
Hey all, Headed to Many, La to fish the big ol' pond October 18th - 21st. and we've hired "The Legend" Harold Allen for three days on Toledo Bend So what can a guy expect for the third week in October? I'm guessing that there would be plenty of fish in the creek arms at that time? Any must try food recommendations in the area? Area attractions to check out? I would appreciate any general information of the area, food, fishing, etc. I'm sitting 900 miles away here in Iowa chomping at the bit! Thanks!

Newton Lake Illinois
Planning a winter get away to Newton Lake, Illinois. I have never been there and I'm looking for some basic information. Any help would be appreciated. 1. Which arm of the lake is the warm water side? (power plant lake) 2. What kind of water temps can you expect this time of year? 3. There is a 25HP limit, can you get on fish with just having a trolling motor? Thanks, Darrin

Weigh-in Trailers?
I'm talking about a tongue pull trailer Matt. I'd love to see some pictures of various set ups that are out there to get me rolling with ideas. I've tried searching Google with out much luck....not sure I'm typing in the best search words, but at the same time, I'm sure there are not many, if any sites to look at such a thing? You still in Texas Matt? ...I've been out of the loop this last year. (edit) oops, I see your location under your avatar : Darrin

Flooding-HawgHunter (Darrin)
Thank You for the thoughts and prayers guys! This is an unimaginable experience to say the least. The water has NEVER been this high, EVER, the good thing is that we are OK and we have shelter. Here are a few pictures of downtown Cedar Rapids before and NOW Notice the bridges in the first photo and compare to the following 2 photos. The water is a long ways from the bottom of those bridges at normal water levels and as you can see, they were completely coverd.....it's just unbelievable This first picture is of the the courthouse on May's Island This is the courthouse right now!

Open water in IOWA....finally!
No, where I was would be at the complete opposite corner of the state. They still have 30" of ice up that way! Water was 44 degrees.

Open water in IOWA....finally!
90% of the state still locked up with ice on the lakes, so I had to head 90 miles south to find open water to cure this extreme cabin fever. I only caught 5 fish, but one of them was pretty nice 6lb 3oz 22" Black n blue jig n pig 5751852

Lowrance 102C
Anybody know anything about a Lowrance 102C? I need to replace my non functioning depth finder on my boat. Right now I have a Lowrance LMS 332 on the front and a dead unit on the dash. I would like to put the 332 on the dash and get something for the front. I don't need anything real fancy on the front. I found a 102C on ebay. It's a color unit with 480x480 resolution. It has the network port on the back, so I'm thinking I could get the network cable and hook it to the GPS antenna that I already have? Have any of you done this before? I need to do some research, but I thought I'd try to get some input from anybody with any experience with either the 102C or networking two units. Here is what I'm looking at---> eBay
