whats the best hook for texas rigs plastics,flukes,etc? i have some bps xps that are working fine but im almost out and was wondering what do u guys use? ive been reading that the gamakatsu bend or break easy. are the Owner hooks worth checking out? or Mustad?

how good are the kistler magnesiums? is it a better rod than the older cork shimano crucial?

heck i used a $40 bps graphite series rod with a bps tournament reel for a cpl years. upgraded to some some better equipment so far this year - lew,curado E's and I's, a couple Powell rods,etc.

id rather buy a used E series citica than a new G series. a used citica 200e can be found for 70-80bucks usually

anyone notice these on TW? the spinning rod won editors choice in OutdoorLife magazine. a few months ago they were like 135 for the casting rod now the price has increased to 164. they have some of cast distance increasing guide on them supposedly. havent heard much about em was just wondering if anyone has looked into em

well the waters been a little clearer at my pond i know at least 3 bass took it and i couldnt get a hookset. could hav been some bluegills on some of the bites tho.

i just recently started trying out flukes. im getting quite a few bites but i cant get a good hookset im always pulling the bait out of its mouth. ive got it texas rigged with a 4/0 wide gap hook. does the end of the hook need to be stuck completely through the bait?

if i was to buy a bps reel itd be the PQ. the citica d or e series are solid proven reels
