  1. i have the tp and love it. however with the rebate from lews on the SS and some places doing an extra 10prcnt off, u can get an SS for 60 bucks after the rebate so if money is an issue u may consider that.
  2. found a cpl decent deals here and there on these. i havent held one in person tho. does the purple color annoy anyone? just seems so girly. are they a better rod than the max?
  3. picked up some nortons and rapalas. not on sale. found a bucket of rods and inside was a falcon bucoo 6'6 mh. i just knew it was gona b on sale for 30-50 bucks but nope. full price
  4. yea i dont like cheap cork i dont hav many rods but my cork rods are shimano and powell and i guess they use good cork. maybe ill get used to the eva. a couple rods im lookn at are only available with the eva so i may force myself to like it.
  5. are these eva foam grips just something u eventually get used to? anyone like them? i love my powell diesel crankbait rod but man i dont care for the grips at all.
  6. yea i wouldnt b using braid with it. i have one rod with braid for frogging. mostly i use mccoy mean green
  7. yea i got one of the cabelas tournament zx frog rods after i read their review
  8. anyone fish these yet? i keep picking them up in stores and love the way they feel. outdoor life did a great review on em. are they sensitive? and is the medium heavy a true medium heavy or on the light side?

  11. thats one reason i got one after i read that review. i hav a medium heavy cork shimano crucial and this powell rod is definitely a bit stouter
  12. right now im using it mostly for t-rigs. havent fished any cover yet. seems like it has plenty of backbone. i did just pass on a deal on a 684 tho. i almost swiped it up but told myself not to that the 683 should handle things well enough. has anyone owned both of these? is the 684 a better rod for weighted worms?

  14. never fished much with crankbaits but just recently picked up a powell diesel crankbait rod and a few rapala crankbaits and gonna start trying it out. any good recommendations on brands of crankbaits,best colors,etc?
  15. i looked at the klx as well but theyre out of stock on most models. i emailed trey and he said he didnt know when they would do some more but can build a custom klx for u. im considering going that route

  17. them Fuegos are nice lookin reels. never fished with one but if a used one pops up somewhere i may giv one a shot
  18. anyone hav a 200E and the new I ?? is the 200E as smooth as the new one? ive always wanted a green E series but if the new ones blow them outta the water ill just get another I series
  19. im either gonna get another 7:2:1 or 6:3:1 or whatever it is. its the farthest casting out of the box reel ive ever used.
  20. u r right. just didnt know what to expect after the G series and ive read some guys having trouble getting it dialed in right,etc. i didnt experience any of that and im pretty much a rookie at baitcasters. im definitely pickin up another one or two of these in the near future
  21. so i spooled it up and took it out and this is probably my most favorite reel now. this thing is silent,smooth, comfortable. love the handles. and caught the biggest bass of my life this afternoon with it.
