  1. i actually took it out and threw buzzbait on it. really like the action. id keep it man
  2. i just picked up a cabelas tournament zx frog rod. havent used a frog with it yet but love the feel of the rod and i think itll perform great.
  3. ordered some mccoy spectra. i like their copolymer. forgot they made a braid
  4. tried out the stren sonic braid today. mistake. worst backlash ive ever had and pretty much had to resort to trimming line away. in the process i think every drop of green eye put on the braid got on my hands. so unsure if i wanna try more of this kind. seems everyone says sunline is the best. ive read some reviews that say its not as abrasion resistant as sufix or powerpro tho. i do have about 130 yds of powerpro left on a spool should i just use it or is there something way better out there?
  5. the 6'9 cabelas tournament zx jerkbait topwater rod
  6. i am likely gonna order the excel 2. unsure of which tho the 704 or 705. may order both and c if i can return one
  7. cpl weeks ago cabelas had these on sale for 69 from 99. after reading outdoor lifes review i decided to order one. i got the 7'3 frog rod. ive had it a few days but only now put a reel on it and casted it in our pond some. put a buzzbait on it since theres not much cover at this pond. this is a heck of a nice rod. verrrry light for a 99 dollar heavy 7'3 rod. the winn grips are super comfortable. balances perfect. launched my buzzbait halfway across the pond. ive never owned a 7'3 inch rod and im used to 6'6 rods but had no problem making accurate casts to short or mid distances. just throwing this out there if anyones lookin for a new rod. i dont think youll be dissapointed
  8. picked up some stren sonic braid 50lb for my frog rod. gonna spool it up this weekend. ive heard its a little smoother than powerpro and holds its color very good. we shall see. if i end up not liking it im gonna try the sunline
  9. yea i figured they were made in china but that doesnt bother me too bad hate that none of mynlocal stores carry lamiglas so i can put my hand on one
  10. ive got some mccoy extra clear but wanting to give the clear blue fluorescent a shot. may pick some up.
  11. i hav the lews tp in 6:4:1. amazing reel. pucked it up for 148. will probably pick up another soon
  12. i know these are fairly new but has anyone got one? they look pretty sweet with the deep blue color. thinkin of pickin up one but was curious - tackle tour has the 704 listed as a medium heavy. it has a lure rating of 1/4-3/4 oz and line rating of 10-20lb. however *** has the 705 listed as the medium heavy. its ratings are 1/4-1oz and 12-25lb. kind of unsure which one to consider getting. will be used mostly for texas rigs and senkos. occasionally ill throw into moderate cover
