  1. I couldn't imagine not being able to fish. The only injuries I have are my knees. I'm only 17 but I have the knees of a 50 year old.
  2. I have $900 but would rather not spend over $450 if I have to.
  3. 29?! Dang. I can't wait till I get my kayak so I can go to the coves and catch lunkers.
  4. Where are you fishing?
  5. I didn't get 14 fish in 2 hours. My buddy did on tubes. And I was catching a few bluegill on the smaller lake using small shad raps. I wish I was catching 7 fish an hour. Lol
  6. Cranks, tubes, worms, craws, jigs, spinnerbaits.
  7. 45-52 I believe.
  8. I don't really have the money to send it off. So I just do it my self to the best of my ability. And it's my main rod at the moment besides my bait caster. So id be out of a reel for who knows how long.
  9. I fish two local lakes and have only had luck on one. And the fish that I caught were bluegill and a super small smallmouth. I've thrown everything. The first lake has structure like trees and stuff like that. The second lake is Lake Michigan and the area I fish is rocky with a dropoff. I've literally tried everything. Could the reason of them not biting be because of my color choice? I have no idea what to throw at this point. Any suggestions? Thanks guys!
  10. I eventually found a website. It only cost 68 cents but the shipping is 6 dollars. Lol
  11. I called the number on their website and it said it was an out of service number. So the spring is really ghetto rigged right now.
  12. According to the website they have listed. It's actually #9 clutch spring. Discontinued. Just my luck.
  13. Earlier today I slipped and my rod went for a swim. Well after I grabbed it, water was completely pouring out. After taking it apart so it can dry, I accidentally lost a spring. #42 to be exact. It's a clutch spring which I'm assuming is for the anti- reverse. I'm going to go out on a limb here and hope. Would anyone happen to have one? Any help is appreciated. I have it ghetto rigger right now but I'm not sure how king that will last. Thanks guy!
  14. Maybe the fish here are just too lazy to fight. Haha. Only fish that really fight are salmon and an occasional bass. But the rest just kinda accept it and won't run. Even with loose drag.
  15. If I use mono it's 8# on a medium.
  16. I use a medium rod at all time. 30# pp on the BC and 15 or 20# on the spinning. So I'm not using heavy gear. It's somewhat light compared to some people here.
  17. Happened to me the other day but on a rebel wee crankbait. Kinda disappointing.
  18. Personally, they each have their own place when fishing. It all depends on my mood and what I'm throwing.
  19. Exactly! I rather catch a fish on spinning gear. It's more enjoyable. But on a BC it's just dragging a fish in.
  20. I believe it is a word because auto-correct didn't underline. But back to the point. Spinning gear seems like more of a challenge to land a fish. Maybe it's just me. But I've caught salmon on BC and spinning, the spinning just seemed like it was more enjoyable. Just me though.
  21. Is there a specific reason lews is in last place?
  22. Hey guys! I was just wondering why it seems funner to catch fish on spinning gear. It kinda makes it seem like they actually can put up a fight. Regardless of size. The only fish I've caught on my BC that put up a decent fight was a walleye. But it seems like we just drag fish in using BC. Maybe its just me wanting a fight. I might have Salmon fever. Lol.
