  1. Then I'll be going with the lews. New reel will be going on the kayak
  2. You really don't need to spend that much on your first rod. $100-$150 max. Get an s30,vengeance or vendetta, some power pro or braid of choice. And you should still have quite a bit left for leader material , hooks, lures and all that fun stuff.
  3. As much as I like other reels, a curado g6 isn't bad for $120. But lews seems like a perfect reel
  4. Improved clinch for tying a leader to my main line?
  5. I'm going with a lews. Probably on a mojo bass or something like that. 40lb braid with a leader. Maybe
  6. Well d**n. Which is the most favored?
  7. I've been using a pro qualifier. What's the difference in braking?
  8. I'm in the market for another baitcaster and I need a little help. My max budget is around $160 for the reel. My options are lews,Abu, or shimano. So I just need input. Or I could turn the tables and buy another spinning setup. choices choices choices. Thanks for the help!
  9. The smaller the better. I have micro guides in my bucoo. What about a know for connecting a lure?
  10. I'll probably try that seaguar. Any special knots?
  11. Paid $32 for a Medium 7'.
  12. FC. What leader should I use?
  13. Pescador it is. $400 on cl about 20 minutes away from me.
  14. Can't hurt to try! Anything specific I should use?
  15. What area of pine lake? I was thinking about heading up there with a buddy or my uncle.
  16. I know I won't encounter rocks when fishing top water. But my question is will fluoro Lino hold up in a snag like braid does or will it snap? I've never had a break off with braid.
  17. I'm most likely getting an Ascend D10T or a perception pescador 12.
  18. I only have 2 rods and one of them is a baitcaster.I went into basspro today and the guy there said that mono would break off in those rocks because he's tried. So will fluoro have the same effect?
  19. I'm in northwest indiana and the bite is somewhat slow. Where are you guys finding the fish? Shore fishing due to not having a kayak yet. But where are the fish biting? Thanks guys!
  20. Well then i guess i'll try a leader. Any sugesstions? and what if i want to use topwaters? How long should the leader be? Sorry for a bombardment of questions.. haha
  21. I wish! I'm getting a 240sx soon. But i deffiently can't afford an s2000. lol
  22. I have a few things to say about the posts made. 1. I would have lost quite a bit of line. And I would prefer not to. 2. I would have a leader on but many of the staff in the fishing department at my local bass pro said not to because it'll break and that I wouldn't have a problem running straight braid. Which I haven't. So. That being said I would rather spend some time to get a tube back than cut a decent amount of line. But if a fluoro leader would hold up to the rocks and hang ups, then l might try it.
  23. The D10t is the only SOT kayak on my price range so it's the one I'll be purchasing in the next week or two. Hopefully it isn't too bad
  24. I had no luck with plastics. But I caught 2 smallies on a rebel wee crank bait. Good enough for me!
  25. I'll be fishing a small lake tomorrow i'm not familar with and i'm not sure what i should use. I know theres weed lines as well as brush in certain areas. Water is pretty dingy so it's clarity isn't the best. Any suggestions? Thanks guys!
