  1. One place I fish is really clear. And the other is kinda dingy.(t's a marina)
  2. Like the title says, I have no luck with plastics. No matter what retrieve, technique, or how I work it. I just can't get a fish. I've tried senkos, flukes, craws, worms, shakey head baits, grubs and turtles. I've found fish spinnerbaits then went back over that area with a plastic and it didn't work. What am I doing wrong? What do I do?
  3. As soon as i get a new setup, the leader is gone. lol It's a pain to deal with a backlash from the knot getting snagged going through a guide. But i may shorten the leader a bit so there is less to get snagged up.
  4. The walmart in portage has decent sales.
  5. Also, I can't use speed clips all the time due to changing from cranks to spinnerbaits. So I sometimes have to cut the clip of. I'm only doing this till I buy another BC.
  6. I'm using the yucatan knot. And the rod is a falcon buccoo.
  7. I recently put a leader on my BC so I can retie a little more without worrying about wasting braid. Well the leader knot sometimes gets snagged in a cast and it turns into a huge backlash. How do i prevent this because I actually like the leader. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  8. 30 pound and higher on a BC.
  9. I either reel it in slow so it gets a nice wobble action or I do an erratic retrieve. Now with hard jerkbaits, I like to reel it in slow with random jerks. Walleye and bass love it
  10. Whoa! You're local! I'm in hessville at the moment and was thinking about stopping there. Lol
  11. Ascend d10t since the Pescador on my local CL sold before I could get it. I use a variety of baits. Anywhere from Crankbaits to flukes. And the last answer is 2-4. 1 bait caster and 2 spinning rods usually.
  12. Hey guys! I was wondering on what you guys take out on the kayak with you. Rods, tackle and all that stuff. I'm finally getting a kayak in the next week or two and realized that I'll have to downsize on what I take. So what tackle and lures are huge necessities for the kayak? Any input is appreciated! Thanks!
  13. Yeah that's pretty rough. I have a few family members in the trade that have damaged their bodies from working too much. Especially iron workers.
  14. Shakey head?
  15. Yeah. For a few more weeks at least.
  16. My buddy is selling a 14 footer sea nymph with a 9 1/2 hp evinrude. trailer comes with it. $700.
  17. I've been in one before and i like it. And im able to load and unload by myself.i'm pretty set on a kayak unless i can find a 14 footer for around 500 but thats very unlikely.
  18. I was looking at a 14 footer my buddy has but I don't want to put a hitch on the current car I'm driving. Which isn't mine. But I think another rod isn't a bad idea.
  19. I really want to pick up another rod. Shimano Sahara on a carbonlite to be exact. Lol. But I might just buy a ton of lures. Not sure which ones at the moment.
  20. I really couldn't spend more than $200 on a setup. Not yet at least. Mainly because I only shore fish until I get a kayak. But I have one BC and one spinning rod at the moment. Both have braid. For lures I have a few cranks. Quite a bit of plastics.( lizards, craws, flukes, senkos, some worms). A few jigs. 1 or 2 top waters.
  21. I have $200 to spend on whatever and I'm not sure whether to buy a new setup or a ton of lures. Both sound great but I can only really buy one or the other. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
  22. Where are you fishing?
  23. No derailment happened. I need input. The pescador might be sold soon so I might be settling with the Ascend D10T if I don't find anything decent locally
  24. How are you retrieving it?
  25. I've thrown flukes for a few hours with no luck. Pink, baby bass, shiner,white/chartuese. Texas rig. Weightless. Swimbait hook
