  1. It's definitely a character flaw, its a past time hobby if you are discouraged because of a lack of productivity it is pretty pathetic, it's a first world problem, hate to see what happens if this hypothetical individual encounters real issues in life. Instead said unproductive day should light a fire under this individual and make them a even greater fisherman.
  2. I personally think that if an individual gets depressed or discouraged thats just a weakness said individual needs to work on, getting discouraged because of a unproductive day or days on the water is pretty pathetic, there are millions of people that would love to trade places just to have a chance even if a skunked day known before hand.
  3. One more new rod, gonna pair it with a Steez SV thats been waiting for this rod to show up. Megabass Destroyer P5 Super Destroyer With A Steez Sv TW spooled with 14 lb Sunline Structure Flourocarbon.
  4. Nothing is more responsible for the "Good old days" than a bad memory.
  5. After some coffee and some sort of breakfast burrito or sandwich and then putting a little effort into a cast busting some wind seems fitting. I contemplated the Landsat but I have a few rods that handle the 1/16-1/8 shakyheads well, I'll probably justify getting that one also though, good to know you like it for the lighter heads.
  6. Or Insect Green Pumpkin that Jackall makes, and how do you know if the bass want large or small flakes in their green pumpkin offering, probably best to choose lures with medium flake then your safe.
  7. Added a new combo to the arsenal specifically for 3/16-1/4 shakyheads, Destroyer P5 Wind Buster mounted a new Exist LT 3000c-XH spooled with 8lb Daiwa J-Fluoro Samurai Flourocarbon.
  8. GYCB 5 inch Senko thought it was all hype back in the early early 2000's after fishing it for 18 years I'm convinced it's far from hype.
  9. I have countless favorite country songs, there are sooo many great ones but most recent is: I wish Grandpa's never died. By Riley Green I can relate to the Lyrics: I wish they still played Country Music on Country radio. My top favorite country musicians are Chris Ledoux, Jamey Johnson, George Straight and David Allan Coe
  10. 2020 Conquest 100 DC with the St Croix Legend Xtreme AGS 7ft MH Fast, awesome combo!

Try a 6 inch fat roboworm in mmiii or oxblood light red flake, with a 1/4 bullet sinker, a roboworm rebarb hook in 1/0, and fish it by "stitching" the worm. Retrieving the line slowly with your hand by pinching and pulling with your thumb and index finger only do not use your wrist or arm to pull, each pinch and pull takes up about a inch to 1.5 inches, take up about 1 foot of line in front of the reel and then reel in the slack, repeat until the worm is back at the boat or shore. Been doing this for years and have had incredible success in all weather conditions.
  12. Yup, Watermelon red flake Yamamoto twin tail grub is my staple jig trailer on a brown jig, work's everywhere for me.
  13. Yes only available in the Australia region for now, you might be able to order it but I'm sure it will cost an arm and a leg, I have a buddy that gets stuff from overseas in high volumes and he got me a case of it.
  14. Same for me, that color does nothing but haul water for me, now if it has green with purple such as aarons magic then it works well, but straight green pumpkin is the least productive color in my waters for myself. Anything thats brownish with purple is the most dominant for me along with brown and red colors.
  15. For a standard size jig, its easy. GYCB double tail grub in 4 and 5 inch, in all water temps, k.i.s.s.
  16. This has been working for me better than Megastrike has, recently anyways.
  17. Well to put it in perspective if you were scammed, but I don't think you were if you purchased off the real site, most people are scammed for a lot more than $160 so it's not really that bad imo. I will say that a couple times of the times I purchased items from them, I never received a shipping confirmation or tracking, I just received the items in the mail about 2 weeks later from the original purchase date.
  18. They are extremely legitimate, I've ordered from them quite a few times, unless you accidentally went to a mirrored site. But even then your only out $160 bucks, not a big deal by any means, just make sure it's the actual site next time.
  19. Famous last words!?
  20. I use Picasso Tungsten Takedown shakyheads with the 2/0 hook (seems more like a 1/0) and 4.5 inch roboworm or similar worms primarily with that line setup for my shakyhead fishing, drives the hook home perfectly fine. But yes it will not work as well with the larger 6+ inch worms and larger hooks, I should have clarified that I'm more of a finesse shakyhead fisherman instead of the standard 6 inch trick worm or fat roboworm type that is more rampant. With the typical shakyhead setup, I would use 10lb PP and 8 lb UG, it works well at Clearlake.
  21. Just get the Conquest 844c MBR it's gonna be the best overall jig rod in the Gloomis/Shimano lineup. Bypass the Expride, GLX AND NRX rods.
  22. According to St. Croix that the price point, between those two numbers. Per St. Croix: "On February 15, St. Croix Rod will announce the exciting details of a landmark launch for the brand; an all-new bass-centric rod series that will help hard-core bass anglers rack up more wins, however they may be defined. The challenge? Deliver the best technique-specific bass rods on the market between $180 and $250, do it with an all-new material, handcraft them right here in Park Falls, Wisconsin, USA, and make them available to anglers at the time of their official launch in March of 2021."
  23. 8lb pp braid with a 5lb maxima ultragreen leader for me.
  24. The price point is from $180-$250, length of rod depending.
