That's a incorrect statement, unless you have fished some of the rods that are at the top of the food chain, and have custom rods built with the best materials available on a consumer level your opinion holds no validity, you have to fish them to understand the stark contrast between the best available and a mid teir $250-300 custom rod, or a off the shelf readily available stick.

I have fished myriads of rods, from cheap Bass Pro branded rods, to Uber expensive JDM rods, the Megabass Arms series that I assume the OP was talking about is probably the most Underwhelming of all the high end rods I've fished. The most eye opening has been the most current Daiwa Racing Design series the difference between them and the much hyped NRX/NRX+ is night and day and it's not even close, take a NRX and drag a bottom contact bait using straight braid, that's how the Racing Designs feel just using straight flourocarbon. There are 1000 dollar rods that are worth every penny if you're expecting ultimate sensitivity, and build quality. The $1000+ Megabass Arms series are primarily fancy wall decorations IMO.

It is a pretty sweet rod, before I got it i was told it's fairly decent for bottom contact baits and a bit softer than the Hein Carbon Head, but after using mine it's more than decent it's ideal for finesse jigs like the keitechs and light wire T-rigs such as what's in your post.

Post pics and a review when you get it, this will most likely be my next rig.

Exactly, if they have a problem they can just deal with it, as long as your not hogging up the entire dock and taking unnecessarily long.

I have the real ones and the knock offs, the knock offs i use if I start getting hung up but the fish are keyed in on it.

I would go for the new Steez if I were you over the P5, it's pretty close to a racing design, a excellent value IMO. STEEZ 2021 ON LEFT AND BOTTOM VS THE RACING DESIGN

The STAGS691MFB was the one I was gonna suggest but your on it already. I will tell you the bait finesse is tip heavy with most finesse reels i tried with it, only the millionaire ct sv was balanced, mostly because of the weight distribution of the reel. Another option is the RD 6101ML + FB

Picked up the new STEEZ AGS BOTTOM CONTACT II, and a BNIB Megabass IP79L. I'm happy about the cork grips, the new bottom contact is about a full ounce lighter, seems like smaller guides, and the same power.

iROD GenesisIII 7ft heavy it has a broad weight range, 1/4- 1.25 and is a great multipurpose rod Along with a Daiwa Tatula Elite Casting Reel. Really nice combo that's balanced and light with a ton of sensitivity. Your around $420 out the door, huge bang for your buck.

No worries, I understood that you didn't see the other individuals post. There is definitely a shaming of high end gear as well as low end.

Hell, people get ligament issues typing all day, writing all day etc. Doing real work like myself as a union electrician and business owner, trenching, bending conduit, pulling heavy gauge feeders in all day and even twisting low gauge wire will wreak havoc on your body in your later years and can become noticeable using fishing combos weighing "ounces" on a long day on the water, so the lighter the better. When you can afford high end light weight stuff you buy it without even blinking, it's just a pleasure to fish with vs cheap equipment. The fact is most, not all but most people that think expensive gear is stupid or not worth it simply don't have enough disposable income to purchase said items, and try to use the macho excuse to make themselves feel better about limited funds.

^ Not yet, I threw it around in the backyard, great caster reminds me of the Steez A's, palms great and balances out longer rods, I put it on a Legend Xtreme 7ft4 Heavy. Changed the knobs out to SLP I knobs.

I could never go back to low end gear, years ago as a kid I mowed what seemed like a million lawns to buy a GLX casting rod and the green curado back in 1996, from that point forward i was ruined, it's just not the same fishing with budget gear, I would rather have one "do most things" combo than a bunch of budget gear.

That's an option also, but might as well go all in.
