Fenwick Aetos vs HMG
I appreciate the input... I didn't see see that the line rating went to 14. I feel a lot better about pulling the trigger on it now.

Fenwick Aetos vs HMG
I am looking at getting a Fenwick Aetos (new version) spinning 7' mf action for shakey head. I have a 7' ml HMG spinning rod that has the same lure rating as the new Aetos (1/8 - 5/8oz). Just wondered if the rods have the same action/power? The hmg is a great rod but too soft for shakey heads. Didn't want to pull the trigger on this until I knew the Aetos has a little more backbone than the HMG ml. Thanks

Spinning rod for skipping shakes heads
I am looking to replace my current spinning rod (fenwick smallmouth 6'9"xf) that a broke under rod cleat (sad day). Do any of you prefer a longer spinning rod for skipping? I was debating between getting the new Fenwick aetos 6'6" vs the 7' and feel like I can skip the longer rods better but may give up a little accuracy. Just curious if any of you have any issues with accuracy on a longer rod. Thanks

Topwater/Jerkbait rod Fenwick Aetos vs Mojo
I was looking at buying a topwater/jerkbait rod and wanted to ask opinions on these rods. Trying to decide between the 6'6" medium/fast Aetos and the new Mojo (6'8" jerkbait rod). I like a shorter rod for this application but would you rather have a longer rod with short handle (Mojo 6'8") or shorter rod with longer handle (Aetos 6'6")?

EVA foam handle problem
Would the Winn grip tape stick to the foam? I think covering cork with this would be great but the foam not so sure.

EVA foam handle problem
I have a Fenwick Elite Tech Bass rod with the EVA and TAC handle design. The foam has lost it grip and feels almost slick. I love the rod but just curious if there's anything i can do to get recapture some sort of grip on the handle? Anyone else have this issue?

Mono to Mono leader for jerkbaits
Looking at having a dedicated jerkbait and topwater rod and reel but i currently have 12lb mono on reel. Do any of you ever tie a mono leader to mono? I was thinking of tying a 8lb or 10lb mono leader to this when jerkbait season comes around. I've read on here 12lb mono might be too big in clear water situations. Thanks

"Ike" Delay Series jerkbait rod

"Ike" Delay Series jerkbait rod
Thanks, what is the rod compared to a regular moderate rod. I just want somethin with a little backbone to it and didn't think a moderate jerkbait rod would give me this. I've read pretty good reviews about the rod but nothing on the action

"Ike" Delay Series jerkbait rod
Looking for new jerkbait rod and would like some opinions from some people who own this rod 6'4" version. I've read where a lot of people like xf action but this rod is moderate. Is the rod fairly wimpy or do you still get a lot of action? Thanks

Fenwick HMG rod power
Looking at buying a new Medium action rod for throwing lipless cranks, small swimbaits, buzzbaits etc... I was looking at the 7' hmg casting. Noticed the power rating on the medium is 1/4 - 3/4 and wondered if this felt more like a medium heavy. Would like the option to throw lighter stuff on rare occasions. Anybody out there have this rod?

Fenwick aetos casting 6'4" medium xf tip
I appreciate the help... The more i read up on this, the xfast tip scares me a little so i probably will not get it. Most likely going to get the Smallmouth 6'3 medium M/F or the Elite Tech Bass 6'6" Medium/Fast. Anyone ever used these rods for Jerkbaits?

Fenwick aetos casting 6'4" medium xf tip
would this rod be good for jerkbait? I was looking at replacing my bass pro carbonlite 6'8" med xf because it's just a little long for me as I slap the water occasionally. Would this tip be a little strong for jerkbait considering the short length? I was looking at a 6'6" med fast but found this rod at a good price.

Cabelas Tournament ZX Crankshaft
Looking at purchasing the ZX Crankshaft in 7' for all around crankbait rod. Anyone have a review of these new Crankshafts? The specs on the 7' rod are 1/4 - 1oz which covers about everything i throw.

Fast action crankbait rod
So I guess it boils down to fast action crankbait rods are different than fast action worm/jig rod? Still don't understand why they would call it a fast action if the bend was in the middle but I'm not gonna try and not overthink it. Thanks for your help

Fast action crankbait rod
Mostly square bills to medium diving cranks. I currently have a st croix mojo glass 7'4" crankster but looking to get rid of it and buy a 7' all around cranking rod for cranks stated above.

Fast action crankbait rod
Why is it that some crankbait rods have a fast action and not moderate? I was looking at the bps crankin stick and cabelas tournament sx crankshaft and both have fast action tips. I'd appreciate some input before I pull the trigger. thanks

Flash Mob Jr Rod suggestions
Wow, I didn't realize the flash mob jr weighed that much. I guess after the 5 jig heads and plastics it adds up.

Flash Mob Jr Rod suggestions
I'm looking at getting a rod to throw the Flash Mob Jr. I know this is lighter than a typical umbrella rig but would appreciate some suggestions on which rods to look at under $100. I was possibly looking at the Bass Pro Bionic Blade 7'6 Heavy (Lure Weight 1oz - 4oz fast action) being that its on sale for $49.99 currently. Would this rod work or should i be looking at something with a little less power? Thanks

Fenwick elite tech bass vs Smallmouth elite tech
I know the Fenwick Elite Smallmouth has been highly suggested on this board. I recently just purchased the new elite tech bass version and wondered if anyone could compare the two. In your opinion, is newer version upgrade, equal or lesser than original? I know handle looks like has been upgraded.

Rod lure weight recommendation for fenwick bass
Thanks for the input... I went ahead and ordered the 7' medium fast 3/8-5/8oz. From what I gather, the 3/8 minimum lure recommendation instead of the usual 1/4 would be due to the tip being more of an extra fast than fast? The 6'6" medium action fast tip also has the 3/8 to 5/8 rating. Would you think throwing a Small squarebill 1/4oz or popper would be ok with this rod? Thanks again.
