Where To Fish Between Christmas And New Year
If you stop in south Carolina you can stop in beafourt and get a good charter to catch many a variety of fish in the salt water and some excellent red fishing there even though the bite slows down a bit but it will be in the 30's by then. Me and my dad go ourselves and have a good catch regular but I can imagine a charter will have it good. But you cant beat the islamorad in florida. Im going there for my honeymoon in june. Its just a good excuse for me to try out some fishing down there

Buzz Bait Hook Set
Ok guys in the past few weeks ive been fishing a buzz bait. I had one tied on and wasn't using it I was fishing a texas rigged worm I wasn't catching nothing figured I try out the buzz bait got to a 1ft deep flat/point slung that buzz bait out there and the most violent attack from a bass I have ever had took it. Look like a bomb went off. Scored a 7 pounder my biggest. So now im stuck on buzz bait. I went to the river and figured they might want it there to so first cast wack!! got one after that every other cast was a hit but I didn't catch but one more. They would either hit it once hard and id miss or they would hit it a few times and id still miss. Went back again and the same thing. That was most likely 10 fish I missed in one trip. Is it me or am I doing something wrong?

Kayak Fishing
I'm really thinking about investing in a kayak but I am concerned about the fish ability in strong current. I normally fish in the river witch has a very strong current. I also like to fish in the marshes here in SC and don't know how the control is on a kayak. The tides going in and out can be strong. Would a kayak be a good investment with this type of fishing

Uscg Maximum Capacity Plate
I found specs and the motor on my boat is the max rated motor but the way it is typed up on there why would the law believe that i didn't just type that up myself ya know? Im just gonna call dnr and see what they say

Uscg Maximum Capacity Plate
Ok i read up a little more and it is very unclear so its got me pretty well confused. In the South Carolina boating handbook it says that PWC's and some other vessels are not required to have the plate. But no were does it actually say it is the law or required that to have the plate/sticker. So why would they have in the rules they can check for it if it is not required? I know that they don't want people running to big of a motor.

Uscg Maximum Capacity Plate
Its a 95 procraft 170 17'6". It does seam kinda odd to me also the placement. I thought it would be underneath the throtle but it just isn't there. They probably wouldn't check a boat unless something looks fishy. But it would suck to go out there and get disqulified.

Uscg Maximum Capacity Plate
Yea on the rules it says they check the boat for diffrent things. It wasn't very clear on it though.

Uscg Maximum Capacity Plate
Ive been checked multiple times but they have never checked for that luckily. I know i should have already had this stuff in order but thats just my luck for not doing my research as good as i should have.

Uscg Maximum Capacity Plate
I was going to fish the oakley big bass tournament on lake murray and i was looking through the rules again and they mentioned when they check your boat the coast guard max weight and motor size plate has to be checked

Uscg Maximum Capacity Plate
Ok i never payed attention until now to this but i was reading through laws and regulations on boats and i noticed you have to have a maximum cpacity plate somewere on your boat. I was trying to find it on my boat and noticed that were the radio was cut in there is sticker residue around it. I know that got to be were it was. Ive had this boat for a year and i know i should have read up on this a long time ago. But my question is what do i do anyone know. I was gonna step up and fish some tournaments but rules thats one of the things you have to have.

Co Angler Jitters
I am wanting so bad to start tournament fishing. I want to stay local and i found the american bass anglers series has tournaments almost everymonth between spring and fall right down the road. The entry fee is $70 bucks to fish the tournament and you get a chance at making it to fish bigger events. I have always fished alone when i bass fish in my boat and i am self taught and beeing reading up on here witch is were ive learned almost everything. So i don't know how to react with fishing with others. I am set on beeing a co angler or whatever they call it in the ABA. I want to learn more and become a competitor. I can hold my own usually then sometimes i wonder about my fishing abilities. My worries are going into this and not fitting in or not having the boaters wanting others in there boat and also beeing in the boat and the boater catching fish when im catching nothing. I know not every boater will be the same some guys will be cool and some jerks. Should i go for it?

Bass Fishing After Grass/vegetation Spraying
I actually had this kinda of thing happen to me also at my local lake. (small lake) There is grass that goes almost all the way around the lake and they spray it every year and it creates a nasty slime that actually smells like sewage. Its almost impossible to catch a bass on the grass line then. It is hard to catch fish out there anyways because of the limit of structure. But you can easily catch bass on the grass. They put on a public fishing tournament every year and this year DNR decided to come out and spray in the middle of the tournament. I was ticked cause the bass were in the grass and i got a limit and was trying to get a good kicker. But they said i had to go some were else. I really didn't know what to say and i was very un called for in my opinon. But i do agree with them keeping the grass from tacking over the lake

Another Fish Id. Anyone Know What It Is?
Its actually not an opinion its a fact. I didn't say they didn't taste good. You go to any public boat ramp around my area and they will have a sign up telling you the fish species that live in the water and have a list catogarized in fish you can eat and fish they recommend not to eat at all. It says do not eat mudfish(bowfin) because of mercury levels in the water. The reason i hate them is because they are over populated in my area and you can't fish for what you want you just have to catch them because they are everywere. Every fish has its place in the water. Delaware valley tackle i didn't think about that, im wrong about them taking over.
