On May 1st I will fish my first high school tournament, and I was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to ignore the adrenaline rush of a tournament and to focus on fishing.

Have you tried the hooks like Rapala has on thier DT series. The ones with one hook that is longer and bigger than they others on the treble

What brand should I use for heavier lb test fc

When you flipping or pitching to you use straight braid or fluorocarbon. I've been using fluorocarbon but have lost lures because of damage to the line from rocks and other stuff. I retie alot but it seems like it wastes a lot of line. The reason I haven't used straight braid is I don't want the fish to see it but after hear people talk about it does seem like such a problem. The lake I fish is really green. So what do you guys think sould I go to straight braid or fluorocarbon with braid backing
