It Never Ends.
Man... You are like a walking billboard for equipment safety in all high school ag classes.... How the crap does all that happen?

What's Left?
No problem buddy. Just remember. Timing changes everything. A decision you make tomorrow could be a complete disaster... That same decision made in year instead may be a great turning point in your life. With all the things you have to overcome, don't let yourself get in your way by jumping the gun before you are financially and mentally prepared for what you want to do.

What's Left?
I was raised by an old school dad. His beliefs transferred to me, and I can tell I'm already sending them to my daughters. -I won't quit a job without a job. -I won't move to a new location without a job there unless you have built up an emergency fund that you can live off of for a minimum of 6 months (after the move expenses of course) -I won't look at worse case scenario's, because subliminally that is what you will drift towards. (ever hear of looking at the white line on the road when you a meeting a vehicle at night rather than looking at the headlights??? It's because you naturally drift towards it.) Because you don't have a wife and kids, this will be a little easier on you in the sense that if you make a bad decision, it's you that is on the street or hungry instead of your wife and kids. (Not being mean at all, but as honest as I can be.) What I would do in your shoes is WORK as much as possible. Stash as much cash as you possibly can. Seriously... Every dollar will help. Next, do your research and look to see what ACTUAL living expenses are like where you want to move. After you have found that out, add 10% because the internet lies all the time and most people can't seem to run a real budget. If you have to move out there without a job then I would most definitely wait until you had a 6 month emergency fund built up. (That is a stash that can literally pay ALL of your monthly bills for 6 months!) Look into hotels with weekly rates. I worked construction is school and had to travel during the summers. Comfort inn, extended stay, etc all have weekly rates. I stayed in Oklahoma at a comfort inn for $150 a week. That's only $600 a month on housing. Then all you have to worry about is your personal stuff and food. That could work or temporary. You should be able to find a job (may not be one you like, everyone has to have one of those at some point.) Just focus on it being a means to and end. That will mature you and help you grow into what you want to be. Heck... I think McDonalds around here starts out at $9.15 per hour... Not glamorous, but you could survive will going to school. Good luck man, stay positive, and stop looking at worse case scenario. GJM

Day three (last day) of prep is under way! Yesterday evening went pretty smoothly. I fished a tournament with a buddy and got second. I was actually starving when I got home. Another plain Jane hamburger patty. Yah... Lol. Today is going pretty well. I'm feeling good, rested, full of energy. Looking forward to the meeting with the nutritionist tonight to set up the real game plan and get back to some normal food with variety. There are 1000 ways to lose weight, but I'm taking this approach as a confidence "bait". I've seen it work, and now I'm invested. I think of it as a give a man a fish, feed him for the day, teach a man to fish, feed him forever. So, translated to, tell me to work out and eat right, I'll fall off the wagon. Teach me to eat right and work out while I'm being held accountable, that is a habit that should last a life time. Maybe I'm all wrong in this, but I'd much rather give it a shot rather than do nothing. Will update after the meeting tonight.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Exactly. We were out there with 30 bass boats and several pleasure boaters last time we were there. Didn't have any negative effect on them. We also caught fish behind every tournament boat we pulled up on.

That's why I put "IF" in caps when I said IF you are paying out of pocket. If you get a scholarship, by all means, shoot for the moon! lol. My baseball scholarship went as quickly as my rotator cuff tore with 3 games left my senior year...

I'm going to stick with this one for a while, 1: because of the money we have invested in it, and, 2: because of the results of my friend. I'm definitely going to look in to the wheat thing as well. I completely agree with you. This plan is based around teaching you healthy eating habits, such as appropriate portions, what to eat with what, and when to eat what. My wife's and my target weight is expected to be hit at 30 weeks. We then have a "maintenance" plan that will last for 24 months to make sure we maintain that weight and stay on track. So... my thoughts on this is 30 weeks of losing weight plus 24 months of maintaining that should easily make for long term healthy eating habits. Once the weight starts coming off, my wife and I plan on working out more often. I probably work out 2 times a week (just strength cause lets be honest... Cardio when you are a fatty mcfatty sucks...). My wife works out 2-3 times a week (mostly cardio with some light strength training.) I would assume that as we continue to lose weight, working out will become easier thus making it more enjoyable. Going off of this reasoning, I would think that we could make this a long term life change. That's how my brain is working on this, right now anyways. That could be the water, meat and cucumber overload though! I will say, I have had a headache since yesterday evening, and my wife's joints are bothering her. Our nutritionist said these are common symptoms of Carbs and Sugar withdrawals.... Yippy!! Only 1.5 days left on prep, then back to normal. Well... Back to the hamburger patties.

That's awesome man! This prep is honestly pretty tough. The amount of meat we are having to eat is sickening. Then add in the fact that it's just bland/dry... it really sucks. Let me tell you the looks I got walking into a meeting at work yesterday with my water bottle and a bag of sliced cucumber was priceless.... lol

Couldn't agree more. I have no clue why someone would go to a 4 year school right out of the gate anymore IF they are paying out of pocket. You end up paying twice as much (if not more) for the same 2 years of education you could get at a community college. Find the university you want to graduate from, them go to one of their "feeder" community colleges.

Will do. Once the normal diet starts, I'll have weekly weigh ins. I'll post updates on a weekly basis on results.

The prep consists of this daily for 3 days: (you can't eat or drink anything other than this) 80 ounces of water (easy, I drink twice that) 2 hard boiled eggs in the morning Multivitamins 2 oranges 2-3 lbs of hamburger or chicken breast (no seasoning or condiments) All the raw celery, broccoli, cucumbers you want 1/2 tsp of Morton lite salt All of this is simple except the 2-3lbs of meat. Literally makes me sick thinking about it. After the 3 days, you go on a more "normal" diet. I guess the protein is to get you metabolism fired up? I'm gonna stick with it because I had a buddy lose 97lbs in 9 months. I want to drop 50. Here goes nothing.

Has anyone on here tried the Slim4Life program? My wife and I just started it last night. (actually starting this morning). They have you do 3 days of "prep" before putting you on the actual plan. I have to say after seeing, and now doing the prep for a day, I'm a little nervous here....

put in a jig rattle and that would solve the noise issue. I like the rig and already have a few scenarios i'm going to try it in.

Any Turkey Hunters Here
I don't do it as much anymore because of lack of time but I did guide for almost 8 years. I enjoyed guiding them as much as I did hunting them myself. Nothing beats a father/son double or watching someones daughter hold her own against the guys and laying the smack down on a big thunder chicken!

Caught My First On A Frog Today!
The difference is a toad is meant to buzz the surface just like a buzzbait. A frog is meant to walk, twitch, pop on the surface. I'm sure you can get bit doing them the opposite, but they work much better when used as they were intended to be.

Ashley Madison
People kill them selves of infidelity all the time. This just happen to make news because of the site and some of the "high ranking people" that were using it. The only ones I feel bad for are the destroyed (now widowed) victims of this. I've seen people go through it without thousands of watchful eyes... Sad deal.
