  1. All zman baits eventually float after some use. They are more bouyant than other similar baits, but will still sink due to the salt in them. After a little use, they float like a cork. Use the TRD for your Ned rig. You wont' be disappointed. Put a little dab of super glue to the back of your mushroom head and attach the trd to that, and you will really save the bait.
  2. My dad can beat up your dad... Oh that doesn't work in this situation?
  3. I promise nobody was laughing last year and certainly not this year. Especially after the last two games we just played... Talk about a hitting clinic! Boys are focused and looking better than ever!
  4. Thanks! It felt good after the beating we took last week. Fished another local lake that doesn't usually produce all that well. 6-8lbs is usually all it takes there. We had just under 12lbs knowing we had it won. Got to the ramp to find it took almost 17lbs.... Oh well, we have been blessed with a pretty good tournament streak this year.
  5. 21 hours and 17 minutes until a complete and total bronze back assault is put on by Ranger Danger and me!
  6. Well Bluebasser86 and I scraped out a win last night at our usual Thursday night jackpot tournaments. We fished a local lake that usually produces pretty well so we figured 12-15lbs would be a must. Usually we have 6-8 boats participate but this week we had 10. To our surprise the fish weren't cooperating like we had planned. We thought it was going to start out great as blue hit 3 fish on his big head wobbler (bladed jig) in about 15 minutes. We really started getting excited when I flipped my craw in a matted up mess of water willows and stuck this little lady. After that we really had to grind it out. Isolated water willow mats were key. Blue actually flipped a pit boss in one, got bit and had the pit boss robbed. I flipped in immediately after, got bit, and managed to stick the fish with the pit boss still in his mouth! We went to the ramp with our heads down thinking we probably would finish middle of the pack, but to our surprise everyone seemed to struggle. We ended up winning with 9lbs 12oz, winning by nearly 3lbs and taking big bass. Here is the one I stuck taking big bass. Photo makes her look bigger than she is, but she was a very healthy 3lbs 2oz and only 17.5" long.
  7. Now if Lund Explorer does this my family and I are going to the underground bunker!
  8. Man that's a gorgeous fish!
  9. Ah, it's no big deal. Just a few guys that hadn't been vaccinated catching the chicken pocks. Rios will be smacking RBI's and herrara will be throwing 103mph fastballs in a few weeks!
  10. 99.9 percent of the time I'm throwing black and blue with a black and blue trailer. Or PBJ with a green pumpkin trailer.
  11. There was a truck like this too at some local mud runs. It' was painted General Lee orange. Looked freaking awesome with blacked out wheels and heat blacked stacks!
  12. Man... Brady... Patriots... These threads are starting to turn into the "what 5 baits would you take here" or "what 2 rods would you take here" threads! It's still baseball season! lol
  13. You aren't kidding. Before I had kids, I used to hunt everything that moved and fished for everything that swam. Wife even went most of the time. (she wasn't much of a fan of duck hunting over water... however loved field hunting) Once we started having kids I had to cut back some due to time restraints and obviously financial restraints. It was amazing what simply cutting duck hunting did for the budget and time!
  14. Look for persimmon trees on the land. If you have a good persimmon tree, after the first frost set up on that. There is only one thing that will pull a buck off a persimmon tree when they are ripe.... Wink Wink
  15. My first bass was in the 6 acre farm pond behind my dads house. I was using the trusty zebco 33 on an ugly stick and a #3 purple mepps. We had one side of the dam lines with old tractor tires (made for some awesome cat fishing). Occasionally you would find a tire that was out further than you thought they were with the mepps, and end up donating it to the pond. One day I jumped off the bus, ran in the front door, dropped my bag and headed out the back door with rod in hand. Went straight to the dam and launched my first cast. All of a sudden the mepps just stops. Thought for sure I was hung on a tire, even remember having a little "tantrum" as I had left the extra packages of mepps in my room. Then what I thought was a tire jumped... and It was green with scales! At the time I thought it was a 8lber. I'm sure it was pretty close to 3. lol. Man I miss the simple days sometimes.... A kid on a pond bank with a mepps or spook... not knowing how good life really is at the time.
  16. That a boy hootie! Heck of a gut on that fish! I can't believe you broke out the cell phone while fishing! What is going on here!!!!!
  17. Yes, Albers in arma and johns in Pitt both have them.
  18. Hell... All the crappie guys say to go to wolf creek for small mouth...
  19. I'm actually going to disagree with you on this one Brian. Chris and I fished a club tournament there in march that had such bad chop we thought we were gonna pee blood. Now, I will also say we ran all the way down to the bridge, and the further you went down, the worse it got. I've been on that lake a whoppin 4 times, so I'm unsure of the wind direction or speed that would give you problems.
  20. Great poem BB. Thanks for sharing.
  21. I like it the way it is. Adding extra species specific thread is too much clutter
