I know some one knows the answer. Do you have to have a lake permit to fish Orgill / Casper Creek lake and is it a good place to put an Eight year old on some fish ?

Either use Boca Grips, Channel locks or use gloves or lip it !!! don't be scared All fish will fin you if you grab them wrong. Get sum !!!!!!!!!.

I once long time ago fished a pond in Eads Tn that was so over stocked you could catch a Bass with every cast. He wanted me to take as many as I could. So I kept some for my kids and Grand Mother . Just left the rest on the bank. The fish had good length to them but no girth. I never saw my son have that much fun before. It wore him out and he fell asleep on the way home.. That's the first time anyone had fish there in ten years. What a day !!!

This is not the time of year to buy used boats. Unless you find some one who is really pressed for money. The BEST time to buy is in late Fall thru the winter. I bought my Skeeter two years a go and there where a lot of boats on CL FROM 4500.00 ON DOWN. So LOOK AT THE ONES THAT ARE CLOSEST TO YOU AND CHECK THEM OUT REAL GOOD OVER AND UNDER. Make sure that everything works. You should be able to score nice boat.

I made a oops ! this was my Third time. My wife and I fished for eight hours the second time. 0 bass in the boat not even a nibble. She had printed what gr8outdoors post and we tried to follow it the best I could and even going places I caught a few last year. When my wife goes I can't get her up early enough to get there before daylight and she wants to leave before the evening bite starts. I don't have that problem at Cold Creek. But now the levy is broke and the water is bad low in the Creek. The worst thing about cold Creek is the Asian Carp. So I just have to keep trying at Glenn Springs.

Everything but the kitchen sink. I was going to use some senko's and swim baits but I couldn't because my grandson needs my undivided attention.

I've fished Glenn Springs a couple of times this year with only one bass to claim. Each time I go I'm learning more humps and drop offs and I'm hopping that will pay off in the long run. For others I know the Bite has been on but not for me. I'm not a quitter so I will keep at it I'm starting to think that deep is the trick.

You must know something I don't know !!! I live about 2 to 3 miles from Glen Springs. I think I have found every tree top and every fence post in the lake in every cove. I've thrown everything I have except a frog. The best I've done there is two small bass and a bucket load of bream. I know there's fish in it because my Humming Bird says so. I just can't get a bite.

I went last tues. didn't catch anything.

King Snakes are good snake to have around . They kill the Venomous snakes and rodents. Because of where I live we have Copper heads, Timber Rattlers and Cotton Mouths. I wish I had a couple of King Snakes that called my property home.

Thats Copper head babies that have Light green tails.

I don't know about clear lakes but here in South West Tenn. They will hit just about anything you can cast. So come on down here and catch all you want.

It only takes getting scared enough one time to change. There's alot out there that keep making the same mistakes over and over. I'm like you. After wakeing up in a truck stop back in 1985 sitting in the Drivers room with every one laughing at me because I woke up not knowing where I was and how I got there. I ran out to the parking lot looking for my truck and trailer. I found it but there was no bull dozer on the trailer. The truck was alright the trailer was alright and the paper work was signed but I did'nt remember any of it. I thought about my wife and little two yr old son and asked my self how would I feel if some DRUNK fool of a truck driver had run over my family and killed them ? How would I feel? I never drank another drop for ten years. Now if and If is a Huge word I drink. I only drink 1 beer but i haven't had one in two years. one or two mix drinks wich I haven't had in a year. The important thing is that I learned how to control the alcohol and my self. Now if I just had the will to quit smokeing.

Good luck with it. I bought one last year and you can't see anything on the screen in the day light only at night. I don't fish any at night so it doesn't do any good . To me it was just a waste of money.

Depression is a tuff pill to swollow. I've been dealing with it since 2009. I thought I could beat it by myself and I was wrong. I told the Dr. about it and he put me own some medicine. It was working at first and then I slipped back in. He upped my Dosage and my depression got better. I haven't been able to fish since the end of Octber because of a couple of Surgeries and some other medical procedures so I'm taking this down time to learn about some stuff that I haven't tried. So ask your Dr. for help. There's nothing wrong with it. It worked for me. God Bless and Merry Christmas

Don't sell your stuff . Store it. You'll come back to it one day and everything will cost alot more.Ive been there done that. I know. If your going to do MMA you better be in shape and have good insurance. Best of Luck to you.

No. I love being on the water even if I don't catch any fish. IVE BEEN IN A BOAT ALL MY LIFE except for the 6 years in the U S Army. So that would make it 54 yrs on the water.
