Gonna be fishing a club tournament there Saturday. Has anyone been fishing there any? I know the water is super high. Was wishing it would be a slow fall around 10-15ft. Been reading a few reports from last week (May 5th) any recent info would be much appreciated

Like everyone says its preference. I personally like Abu Garcia, I have 2 revo sx's and 1 orra winch. I have to say I'm very pleased with them.

Never tried a revo s but I have a couple revo sx's and i love them. Can't be much different between the two. The Abu Garcia vendetta rod is nice also at $79.

Anybody ever had any luck with golf courses? Just curious. I've wanted to try fishing one before but just never really know when a good time to go would be.

Had one hit at grove on a buzzbait in about an hour and a half but that's all. Everything else I caught near my house in lake forest but they were no bigger than the popper I was using haha

Carl, thank you for the input! I only have braid on my flipping stick and I mostly use it for pitching up into cover. But as said it just seems like every time the power pro brushes up against the object I'm fishing I get this terrible noise and I'm most certain that it's not causing me to get as many bites. I follow a person on YouTube by the name of mikeybalzz fishing and that is how I found out about the diawa braid. I see you're on there as well. I'm gonna check out your channel!

Shimano has a rod that is technique specific. The Shimano sellus rod you can get for $49.99-$59.99. Though I don't know of any stores that carry them. Maybe Bass Pro? I've read that most people like them. That's gonna be my next rod
