All weather bibs?
The Simms seem pretty comfy and breathable

All weather bibs?
Thanks to all for your replies. I'll definitely look into all of those. Something that will work from upper 30s to mid 80s would be perfect.

All weather bibs?
Interested to see what everyone's experience's have been with bibs. Is their anything out there that's comfortable enough for colder weather but also won't be terribly hard on you if it rains during warmer weather. Any info is appreciated Thanks Wes

Lewis Smith Lake?
Smith is an awesome fishery. I've always enjoyed that lake. Lots of shallow and deep structure to fish. Loaded boat docks, points, grass and brush piles. Just about anything you can imagine, except mats.

Lewis Smith Lake?
Thanks guys, I haven't been on the lake since last year. We were catching them between docks with crankbaits. I'd like to try more main lake stuff this go around

Abu Garcia Revo SX Spinning !!
I've been interested in this. I love my revo sx casring reels (5 total). Good to know the spinning is a great reel too

Abu Garcia veritas
Good rods, however the guides have not been so good to me. The epoxy holding the guide to the rod has started peeling on at least one guide on every one of my abu rods. But again, they're great rods minus the guide issue. Could also be that I fish them hard or I just got some lemons.

What brand line?
I'll have to remember that when in shopping around. Will definitely give it a try on one rod and see how it goes. I'm religious about re-lining my rods every other trip. Except when my club tournament season is going. Then I re line before every tournament. I'll for sure add that to my list. Tackle warehouse offers 1000yrd spools of C21 for like $8 or $9. Which is good for when the club tournaments take off for the season since I re spool before every one
-
What brand line?
I love the C21. I use it on 95% of my rod and reels I don't use mono either. I like little to no stretch. How do you like sunline? I've considered trying that out but it's pretty expensive lol
-
What brand line?
Look forward to hearing how it goes! I'm considering sunline as well as other mentioned in this post. I'll definitely be checking that out. That's pretty much all that's in Mississippi are resivours, with the exception of a small cut of pickwick and bay springs. I still like my PLine very much I may end up going back but it never hurts to try new stuff out Seems the Invizx has some good rep. I think I'll grab myself a spool when it's time to reline and see how it goes!
-
What brand line?
I'll definitely keep that in mind, thanks! Is it abrasion resistant?
-
What brand line?
Thanks to all of you for the replies. I'm really just trying to get some ideas. I've had wonderful experience with the C21 PLine and I use the PLine flouroclear for my crankbait rods. I'm just thinking of trying some new things out to broaden my spectrum. I've pretty much been a PLine user since day 1 and I feel their are other great lines out there. From the looks of all the replies I should have no problem finding some new product!

What brand line?
Hello all, So im possibly looking for some new line recomendations. I'm currently using PLine and though I don't really have any complaints, I'd like to keep an open mind and try some new stuff out. For most applicants I use the PLine C21 copolymer, because let's face it.. It's very inexpensive. Again, I have no complaints as of yet. I've never broken a fish off up to this current time. It seems to have low memory (in my opinion). So let's get down to the nuts and bolts of this post. What brand lines do you use and why? Thanks in advance for any and all information Wes

Texas pond hoppers
Hello all, i recently moved to Texas back in September from Memphis,TN. Looking for some local bank beaters to fish with. Any takers? I found a map from another forum that's got a bunch of spots marked. Can anyone confirm these areas? Thanks in advance for any info https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=14Bo6cJ0jDfCcRxRZXK9ANZePLRA&hl=en_US&ll=32.880369644707315%2C-96.7163104483451&z=11

Does anyone happen to know any good ponds or fishing spots around Grapevine lake in Texas?
Just moved to Texas a few months ago. I'm looking for some locals to fish with. I found this from another forum. They called it the "Texas bank fishing map". Hope this helps. All the blue fish heads are supposed reported catches. The yellow pins are bait stores I think https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=14Bo6cJ0jDfCcRxRZXK9ANZePLRA&hl=en_US&ll=32.880369644707315%2C-96.7163104483451&z=11

I've heard nothing but great things about Powell. I look forward to giving them by business in the future

Duckett ghost vs veritas 2.0
Look into the abu garcia vendetta rod. I have a 7'3" med heavy and it works great for frogs

Thank you for the heads up! I will definitely be giving them a call. I have a good friend that uses Powell rods and he swears by them.

Anybody in the Memphis area?
Is there anybody in the Memphis area looking to join a club? If so and you have a Facebook go like the Desoto County Bass Club page. All boaters and co-anglers welcome! I know its almost the end of the season but come check it out and see if maybe you'd be interested. We've run into very few situations where boaters have stopped fishing because of the weather and its left a couple no boaters unable to fish. With that being said, if you're a no boater still come check it out we will always try to make something happen for you! We're a small club and we don't fish for a lot of money but we're just a group of people who simply enjoy bass fishing and like a little competition

Decisions decisions
Very informational. I was actually planning to order a Powell diesel 705 CB glass but sadly they are sold out on the Powell website ? my next choice was the inferno 704 CB glass but they aren't showing anything on the website either. My main purpose with the rod is going to be throwing square bills, dt4's, dt6's, and 3xd's (dives 10-12ft) and whatever I get will be paired with an Abu Garcia Orra winch 5.3:1 ratio. I'm going to my local academy sports tonight to browse some choices and to look at the duckett in person. I wish I had time to go to bass pro at the pyramid.

Thanks for the response. If you don't mind me asking what others would you recommend?

Decisions decisions
Looking to get a new crankbait rod tomorrow and I'm trying to decide between 2. My choices are the wright & McGill 7' medium and duckett ghost 7' medium. I'm currently fishing with a Abu garcia veritas 2.0 winch and its just way to flemsy for the crankbaits I'm currently fishing. I'm mostly throwing strike king 3xd crankbaits with that rod. Any personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
