  1. To be honest I see the goal with this proposed order, not allowing the influx of new diseases or other aquatic non-native organisms from spreading to new waters. The reality is this, if its in a river system its only a matter of time before the entire water shed has been over taken, just like a chain of lakes, or one large lake. This is going to be extremely hard to enforce and I dont see this happening personally.
  2. It defies logic doesnt it. I cant complain UPS is making it right by me, just dont know what I could have done to prevent that.
  3. Well I just wanted to keep all of you updated on the claim process. I have been told that there is a +$300 check going to be waiting for me soon at my local UPS store where I shipped the Rods from. So I guess all in all it ended in a positive light and I will be upgrading to a Gloomis jig rod courtesy of UPS. I did ask my local driver how he would have shipped the rods and when I showed him the broken end of the rod tube he was surprised/amazed that they could have broken it.
  4. Well I went by the launches of Cobbets and Canobie lakes both are snow covered and Iced in still. I am guessing most in the southern NH area got around 12in of snow on average. This is brutal that it has to come so late and push back the Ice out days on our local lakes...
  5. Hahahaha now that is a funny visual...
  6. Thats a great color I couldnt help but think of using that on my Jigs up here in NH. Well if you get a chance could you give me the recipe/colors for making that. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanx
  7. Sorry to hear about the slow down LBH. I hope things work out for you...
  8. So what exactly does open water look like. I am living vicariously through you guys until the ice melts up here...
  9. Cant these people just go away already? PETA = People Eating Tasty Animals
  10. Couldnt agree more...
  11. I totally agree, who is to say if it is real or fake. One thing I know for sure the Smallmouth Bass I catch up here in NH sure dont look like that. I have never seen a Smallmouth that green before. They are what their nickname describes them as "Bronzeback".
  12. Amen to that NHguy, First we need to get rid of the snow that we will be getting today and tomorrow. It seems like it will be April for us this year.
  13. Hey Fedxpress I couldnt help notice your skirt color is that a homemade job or did you buy that somewhere...
  14. I couldnt agree more look for a used boat. You will get more boat for your dollar.
  15. We have some Great local waters to fish here in the Southeastern part of the state. The Powow River right by you for one. My best luck for smallies is the Merrimack River and Canobie Lake.

Welcome aboard. Good luck and Tight lines...
  17. Water only turns over in the Fall that I am aware of. The reason for the more stained water conditions could be the spring run off carrying silt into the lake from the Spring Thaw. A couple warm days will not spike a lakes temperature, especially if the temps are dropping quite a bit at night. You have to remember that the whole body of water was under 40°F for a long time. It takes awhile to work its way back up. the warmer days will help but thats only heating the surface water, if your lake is somewhat deepits just going to take some time.
  18. :'( > :'( Did you guys hear that we are expecting to get 6-12in of snow tomorrow? That is bleak for getting us out early for fishing...
  19. Hey guys, I think Im going to bump up my Gloomis rod purchase and go with a G-Loomis GLX BCR854 7' 1" I have been told that the MH isnt that stout and that the H(BCR854) would be better suited for me. I am mainly pitching to boat docks.
  20. MELT d**n YOU MELT!!!
  21. Heh. Considering Im 80% Irish and 20% Sweedish I dont tan. I can manage to get a sun burn from a Half Moon. Since my Mother has had bouts with Melanoma Skin Cancer I wear and use SPF 40-50 and reapply 2-3x a day. Yea it keeps me pale white but after seeing what they have done to her, I dont mind being pale...
  22. Yea trust me I am a believer in the saying "You get what you pay for" line. So I agree, its just that I havent spent $200+ on a rod, but since UPS is going to be fronting most of this purchase I think Im pretty ok with it. Specifically the rod I am looking at is the G-Loomis GLX BCR853 7' 1" I think this would be the best fit for me. I am going from a JWMH610 Castaway 6' 10". Any and all input would be great keep it coming.
  23. I think I might be leaning towards the BCR853. Is there a notable difference between the GLX and the MossyBack models? If the GLX is worth it I could consider it, since this is easily the rod/rig I use the most hands down...
